Just came out of a LTR and realize I dont really have very many hobbies and hobbies that I actually do. Most of the people I know like beer, sports / playing sports and maybe reading. I dont want to be solely preoccupied with women and sex. I want to be more interesting and happier aside from women. What hobbies or interests do you have that have helped you keep women from being the main thing?

Right now I have ZERO hobbies. I used to produce music and throw raves. I also used to draw and paint. These days all I do is work, then work on my biz and then sleep. I just post on here while I'm working. I'm burned out on music and my art. I need something new.

I play the piano. it is really fulfilling, but that's not very easy to pick up quickly.
My parents were kind enough to make me learn it when I was a kid.

Chess is another thing I try to improve regularly, it really makes your thinking analytical. But it takes effort.

Photography is also fun. But you probably need an SLR camera to get serious.

My motivation between these three flare up and die in different periods. What you need is to find something that really makes you happy. Motivation is key here.. And expertise in ANYTHING requires years of practice and patience .. so take it easy, start something without investing much money.

Motorcycles, rock climbing, working out, X-box, ehh...watching football sometimes.

It's hard to take on a lot of serious hobbies...they start becoming like "plates" in their own right...you can only spin so many. :p

I have too many hobbies, sometimes gets in the way of life... art / music being on top. I also have a love / hate relationship with my career (which started as some sort of interest / hobby) but I guess that anything that turns into your career will stop being a hobby since you have to do it all the time...

What I suggest you do is try to find your true passion, there are many ways / techniques to find out what they are - there is a ton of information online.

In my city building/renovation projects are going on all over town all the time. For some reason I am completely fascinated with this type of thing. I take particular interest in the design, the materials and the techniques used to complete these projects.

So what I do is I take on projects at my place of work. These things are not directly related to what I do precisely but it keeps me thinking. For example - say a fence is needed someplace in the facility. Though I don't know exactly how and have never done it before I'll build it myself. I've renovated buildings and landscaped large areas using unique faunas. My only problem is that I start thinking about the next project before I am done the one I'm currently on. Next project a new pool.

Bodybuilding is my thing right now... Doin my first competition next year. Also like watching MMA, and NFL. Like movies (all sorts) and documentaries. Its actually pretty crazy how much time and effort bodybuilding takes when you factor in the whole eating properly every 2.5 hours. The whole working out 4x/week is a bit of a joke compared to the discipline and preparation it takes to make all that food and stick to eating it at appropriate times even when you have work, and all the other things that come with real life.

What kind of car are you racing? You ever take the bike to the track?

1. Personal Development - the study of building my knowledge and character to make me happier, wiser and more successful in business, investing, wealth & asset management, and life itself.

2. Physical Training

3. Classical Guitar - while it's fun to rip on my electric & steel string acoustics, the classical guitar is a beast of a different sort. It requires serious commitment and practice to improve at it, but is far more rewarding than playing rock songs.

4. Hunting - Silently sitting in a tree stand 30' off the ground, swaying with the tree, I truly become a part of nature and connect with primal things when I go into the woods. Sometimes, I kill a deer too.

5. Investing - I am an investing junkie. I love to build my portfolio and will "talk shop" anytime I meet another serious investor.

6. Economic Development - I have an obsession to make a strong contribution to the economic success of America as a whole. When America got in trouble in WWII, our ancestors answered her call, and I feel America needs me to put together a plan to rebuild our middle class. I am compiling my various initiatives into a comprehensive system in an ongoing book I am writing. There is nothing more satisfying than to build something which dwarfs yourself in its size, scope, and impact, and that is what I intend to do.

7. Cars - I love cars, and motorcycles too. I always had cool cars when I was younger, but now I devote my money to building my balance sheet. One of these days, I will dust off some money and buy that Corvette and Ducati I have always dreamt of.

8. Education - I am forever a student, I want to know everything about everything.

9. Being a Shriner - "Shrining" is awesome, a true asset to my life. We have fun, we party, we drive little red cars in parades, and we raise funds for our charity, Shriners Children's Hospitals of America. When I go out to collect, I cannot tell you how many people have said things like "My little brother had polio and your hospital took care of him" or "My sister had MS and they allowed her to die comfortably." Shrining lets you help to ease the suffering of poor children, what greater reward for doing God's work could you seek?

BMW with a motor swap, turbo, roll cage, etc. I do DE and autox. so I guess its not a race car, but a track car. its my money pit.

I have never had the bike on the track, I have a set of tires for it, but I dont have a trailer, and Jennigs GP is about 6.5 hours away from me.. really dont want to ride that far..

Ahh, beer, sports, and reading mostly.

I don't have time for hobbies anymore. But when I did I played guitar and bass, rode mountain bikes, rugby, motorcycles, home maintenance, and cooking.

I like to work on my car. Repairs, maintenance. If I don't *have* to go see the mechanic, I'll do it myself. I like to drive too.

Other than that I like to play video games. Good stuff like Mass Effect, Stalker, Half Life 2, Doom3. I'm just reading what I have on my shelf. Small collection of games over the years that I think have a very immersible atmosphere.

I also take pictures of things. New hobby as of last year. Bought myself a nice Pentax camera and now I go around shooting. It's a hobby that I hope to expand once I have money to buy more lenses to meet my needs. So far, everyone likes my pictures but I haven't received the "wow" I'm looking for yet. Needs more work.

I also cook more now. But that's not really a hobby. It needs to get done because I'm very picky.

Cars are interesting, man. It fun to LEARN how that thing under the hood actually works!
