I thought "Ferris Bueller" was very overrated.
Much as I enjoy FB, this one slighted us, by including nothing more than Mia Sara "talking" about taking off her clothes. We had to wait till the early 90s, before she finally gave us an eyeful of the goods, in Black Day Blue Night

I've noticed this for quite some time - and I think I had even introduced this topic as a thread - that there are a lot of hot, young actresses that don't show much when they are in their prime, but when they start the slow decline in their 30's, it's like they can't keep their clothes on. Jennifer Lawrence did this in her latest movie about being an older woman to a TeenCel, and Marisa Tomei did it gloriously in doggie-style fashion in "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead".

Mia Sara was still in her 20s when she filmed BDBN, and JLaw was also, when she finally got naked in Red Sparrow. She was hardly ancient in the film you're referring to, "No Hard Feelings"

I take your point though nonetheless... Many celebrity women do try to re-affirm their sexiness by doing something raunchy on camera, when they're long past their 2nd decade of life. Recall Meg Ryan's diasterous turn in In The Cut

I had thought that Lawrence showed off for a much longer amount of time in "No Hard Feelings".

JLaw bared comparatively more of her body in NHF than she did in Red Sparrow, which was her very first nude scene. Both sequences are about the same length though... Only a few minutes each. In regards to Sara/Sloane Peterson from Ferris Bueller giving us a few looks at what was beneath those garments in Black Day Blue Night... Here's THAT criminally underrated flick

Ferris Bueller's Day Off was released in 1986 and filmed in 1985. The 1961 Ferrari GT California was 24-25 years old at the time.

In 2024, a 24-25 year old car is a 1999-2000 model. I wonder what that would be like with 1999-2000 models. There are some 1999-2000 models that are daily drivers still today. In 1985-1986, it would have been difficult to find a 1961 car as a daily driver.

Cameron’s character nailed the “nice guy” perfectly.
Yes, that character was a typical 'nice guy'. The 'nice guy' penalty wasn't as bad in the sexual marketplace in the mid-1980s as it has been post-2000 but "nice guys finish last" was already becoming a thing by the mid-1980s.

Yeah. I mostly liked that they didn’t depict him as some overly nice azz-kissing simp (as is often incorrectly done). He was the victim of controlling/abusive parents, and he was shy around girls because they probably didn’t let him socialize much, let alone date. So he carried resentment and frustration. Very accurate.

Azz-kissing simping was less of a thing in the mid-1980s than it has been in the social media and smartphone era (2007-present). I don't think the screenwriters could even conceive in the mid-1980s how to write a male simp character.
