Yes they are. What the hell man.

Fathers and brothers are supposed to vet the daughter’s man. This is tradition…
That's one hell of a way to say that you have zero integrity and are weak enough to let tradition decide what you do.

Have you thought of being your own person?

One of many experiences that an individual must go through to learn and become a better/stronger person.
Be supportive and informative but you should only intervene if you suspect any mental or physical abuse. Then introductions to the grim reaper is warranted.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

A father or brother has zero integrity and weak for doing what comes natural and wanting to protect his daughter or sister?

Thats a new one.

Do you have a daughter or sister? Just curious.
It's not natural it's just being a codependent little weakling.

And yeah it's new because most men don't think.

Well as I said right or wrong, I think it's instinctive to want to protect and comes from a good loving place.

I'm curious why you didn't answer the question asking if you had a daughter or sister?

I can only assume you don't and if you did, perhaps you wouldn't be so quick to judge.
I have a sister and I don't protect her because I'm focused on myself like a real man.

EDIT: And wtf do you mean a good loving place. It never comes from a "good, loving place." You want validation. Admit that you need validation.

I said the instinct to protect.

I have five very protective brothers and I appreciate and love them for it.

My late dad was also protective however they were/are all intelligent and emotionally developed enough to keep it in check and not lose their shyt.

It sounds you don't possess this instinct to protect and quick to insult and demean those here who do.

Is that what being a "real man" is to you?

Passive towards your sister but aggressive towards your fellow bros?

Rhetorical question, I'm out of this discussion anyway.

Suit yourself.
Damn well better be out of this discussion.

Are you really ****ing telling me that protecting someone DOESN'T make you passive towards them? Reality check, it makes you their *****.

Keep going out of my face if that's the narrative you're spinning. ****ing dumbasses.

This is one of the most pathetic dark triad manipulations I’ve ever seen.

You’re like a fox trying to get into the hen house.

The fox says to the hens “stop guarding your baby chicks. It makes you a passive b1tch. Be a strong, independent chicken and stop being co-dependent on your siblings and children.”

The fox is saying this as a long string of drool hangs from his mouth.

You are disgusting, bro. None of what you write
makes sense to a person with even a fraction of integrity.
I'm not having any of this naive bull****.

Listen, dumbass. The ONLY thing protective people accomplish is defending the world's garbage.

I have yet to see any of you "defenders of the innocent" LOWLIVES actually defend people who need defending. All you do (and I mean ALL you do) is stand up for the real bullies, instigators and perpetrators because you're mentally incapable of telling the difference between a wolf in sheep's clothing and a sheep.

It is not "instinct" to be mentally challenged.

You still trying to get into that hen house bro.

It’s over. The chickens know.

You’ll never convince chickens to not protect their hen house. No matter how much you drool and cry.
By chicks do you mean terrible people?

Because yeah that's how you people usually do it.

You defend the terrible people.. then call the actually moral people "bullies."

What else do you have to say that'll prove me right?

Here's my take on it.

Almost every person on this planet has yet to evolve to a level above an animal. Humans came from being animals as hunter gatherers and have really only be 'civilized' for the last 3000 years. It is possible to evolve to a level of a fully conscious individual relying on rational thought and taking rational action, however you will still be interacting with half animal/half rational beings. The people in question in OP's post are not fully rational; they still have that animal in them. If you are more evolved, then the appropriate action to take is to guide or train the half animal/half rational beings (99.9999% of the population) like you would a dog or a child.
