Its funny cos when I;ve seen photos or movies from older generations the men (and women i think) usually looked better with better skin and BMI and facial proportions. I dont know why this is. I suppose it can be modern diets, stress etc but for sure looking at older generations the ppl did look healthier and fitter.

Can't say I agree, when I look at pics of women pre-WWII, they don;'t look that appealing face wise and their physiques are pudgy and soft. Maybe it's a stylistic thing with makeup & hair styles and modern women working out to keep their body tip top, but when I see pics of Betty Grable being a sex idol I kinda scratch my head.

I’ve noticed the same thing about old movies and photos. I think there are a number of reasons for that. Better diet and spending more time outside played a role I’m sure. But I think it’s mostly about genetics. People are becoming more mixed, so attractive facial features become “diluted”.
