A friend of mine really hates anarchy. He believes society should be ordered and regulated by a computer.

Anyway, we were at the bar and there were these goth dorks in the corner. They're dressed up in black and depressed and stuff. One of them starts talking about how cool anarchy is, how they could do anything they wanted, and etc.

So my (getting drunk) friend gets pissed off, goes up to them, and beats up the kid (the other goths sorta ran off). His last comment was, "You want anarchy? Here's your anarchy, a$$hole!"

Man, I'm never forgetting that night. I'll have to write it down or something.

What an @sshole ... like it is going to make any difference beating up loser goth kids who couldn't make a difference in the world for them selves even if they tried.

Thats a very crazy tendency....today he beats kids, tomorrow he will sober up and recall there was KKK....or people with other religious view he doesn't like... or people with other skin color he doesn like...

If I were you I would smack your friend - at least it would distract him from doing very stupid things.

If there was anarchy, there would be a sharp increase in crime, followed by a sharp drop to near zero after the crooks started getting a taste of good 'ol wild west style vigilante justice.

Yeah... what kind of lesson he is going to deliver next? He is going to teach people with other views how to see the world "his way" with firsts? Oh I forgot, getting drunk before is a requirement....

Nobody is talking about if anarchy is good...it is not the point. The point is what to do to people who talk about it.
Today he beats goth kids, tomorrow he might as well shoot people with other religion just cua he heard "it is bad for somehting".

Goth is not a healthy lifestyle - especially if you're good at it.

It robs you of your humanity and turns you into an emotionless lump who doesn't care about anything ... not even himself.

The world and everything in it loses all relevance to you and life becomes a meaningless chore.

I lobotomized myself with Goth in HS - I purged myself of all desire and attachment and convinced myself that Life was nothing more than pointless suffering - and that's a big part of why I'm here.

Insecure or not, it was hella funny. I'm only depressed because I haven't got a video film of the event.

Those kids didn't even know what the actual political definition of anarchy are, so I doubt it has anything to do with ideology. Their definition of anarchy, judging by the stuff they said, is "being free from the stupid government" and "shooting jocks and stupid people".

Don't room fights take place in the USA too? It happens here quite a bit. You guys make it sound like some sort of killing spree, it was two guys having it on. Yeah I know its a bit wrong and stuff, but I still find it funny

I think your friend confused the actual meaning of anarchy with the political term. Most goths are anarchists because they don't believe in consumerism or capitalist exploitation of the working class. the actual political anarchy means the (peaceful) destruction of the state, since the state is the foremost user and beneficiary of violence. The idea is that the world would be run by workers for workers, not by faceless politicians and clones wearing suits, selling their souls to greedy multinationals.
