so ive been dating this chick for a couple weeks, ive got some other plates but me n her started with a long history of friends so shes more then just a thing...

anyways, ive had to re-evaluate my attachment to her so i decided on wed that i would be more busy....

she went on a flight to visit family on monday, i met her to say gbye blah blah....anyways on thursday she sends me a series of texts that I DID NOT respond to...because I was honestly just really busy for thanksgiivng....

Text1: Hey you, have a happy thanksgiving! (Mass text?) (12pm)
Text 2: i hope your having a good time cant wait to see you! (4pm)
Text3: Babe? (10:00pm)
Text4: you make me feel silly for missing you (11:30pm)

ME: Phone call next day 9AM: voicemail, no returned call.


So I called her this morning when I woke up since i crashed at about 10:30...(lots of drinks).... anyways no reply all day and my afc butterflies have been begging for me to call/text her again.....but my man side says...wtf this girl is pissed off at me for stupid texting...call me if u really miss me stupid.....

anyways...any thoughts? In retrospect I should have just replied with u2 or smileys or something during thanksgiving but i just wasn't feeling replying at the time...

im just sick of games, drama, this girl is really cool but arg.

Guys get confused about this. They pretend to be so busy and believe "no response" to a girl who shows interest and likes them is the manly, challenging thing to do and it will turn her on more. IT WON'T. The trick is to know WHEN to respond and HOW to respond to her. By ignoring a girl you like and want to have a relationship with and have sex with, you are not turning her on by ignoring her, you are telling her "you are nothing to me" and "you can't count on me to be there for you". Now if you want to be one and done with her but she won't have sex with you, then you can choose not to respond.

But if you like her, you have to respond ACCORDINGLY.

good points...i just got lazy and not replying could only fuel the fire. ignoring the first text was ok but after it became customized i was just being a ****. she ended up contacting me on gchat and instead of chatting there i hit her up by phone (20 min ago)

Phone summary:
i basically and undefensively told her that my day was crazy and that their was relative drinking and catching up to do so i missed her text, and then i passed out early so i missed the last 2.

i was like so what was up with the texts i feel bad for making u feel silly and shes like its ok i just felt silly at the time thats all. (there is some preccedence for this because she has said over the phone before that she missed me and how corny that sounds, and i usually just reply awww or well lets hang out!)


then we caught up on the trips and made plans for sunday blah.
i guess i got high road status and was like...come on just call me...but i got to realize what im dealing with...chicks who most seem to be afraid to initiate any phone calls ( i have another girl who wont call me admittedly becuz she is too scared lol)...but then now im trying to delegate blame off me...

so i guess to improve upon myself for next time...im assuming not replying to text 1 is ok for most dj ppl....but whats some responses for "i cant wait to see you" type texts, cuz i dont want to gush...my response was going to be just a smiley... thoughts?

i want to see a dj do it accordingly, give some examples if it were ur situation...

Don't complain about games when you're playing them too.
I hate seeing posts where guys complain about girls playing games but they are okay with doing it themselves.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but anyone that took 3 seconds to text "Happy Thanksgiving" to me (even if it's in mass texting), I'd have the common courtesy to at least text back saying the same. It just takes 3 seconds, and there's no real overthinking to it.

Now you're just overthinking because you didn't text her right away and now that you called and she isn't answering... you are going nuts.

Next time, don't think. Just act. Make mistakes, but don't sit here and tell us that you hate games and then play the "I'm going to act busy" game.
