It's a sneaky way for a girl to reject you. When she asks for your number she is making you think that she likes you. She is hoping that it will appease you and that you will leave her alone. Do not expect her to call. If she does call I'd be completely surprised.

well that's a load of crap. ive had girls ask for my number and i wasn't even interested in them. and they were texting me all night. i didnt even want their number. but yeah some girls ask for guys numbers. although one not long ago asked for mine she even ran after me out the party cause i was about to leave just to get my number. but she never even called or txt (good for me cause i have a gf already). but yeah. weird.
