Ok guys, you're all probably aware of the mental trick you can use to 'fool' yourself into thinking it's your last day on earth, meaning you will do everything you wanted to do and fear won't stop you. But even using this mental trick, you know it's not really your last day, you're just pretending for the sake of conquering fear.

The solution is to realise that while it is not certain that today is the last day of your life, IT COULD BE. YOU COULD DIE TODAY. YOU COULD GET RUN OVER WHILE CROSSING THE ROAD. YOU COULD GET A SUDDEN ILLNESS AND DIE. WHO KNOWS? When you are conscious that today COULD be your last day, fear of approaching a girl will not bother you. You won't even care about rejection. So come on guys, wake up.....LIVE NOW, DO NOT HESITATE.

Good tip.

Many people live in the future or the past. Why not live in the current moment and enjoy life now!

If you accept that death is inevitable, then it can help motivate you into living your life better than thinking that you can die today.

For example, if you knew that you were to die today, wouldn't that make you fear doing anything that could put you into harm's way?

no matter how hard I try, I cant convince myself that it's my last day, not even that I could possibly die! I just picture it. It might be because nobody close to me has ever died.

Yeah, I have trouble staying in the mind set also. Of course it is a good mind set to be in.

I don't think I've heard any Steely Dan, but I'm a big fan of most 70s and 80s rock groups.

Not really...the kind of risks I am talking about are not big physical risks, but more emotional risks. Approaching a girl won't kill you, but you will have to go through fear.
