Creatine is a food, not a drug. Just like vitamin C. Also just like vitamin C, iron, fat, protein, WATER, etc if you ingest too much of it, it can be harmful or deadly.

I use performance enhancing drugs because of my sport: it's an edge on the competition (most everyone else is on something anyways, this is the pros). You have no idea what you're talking about, really. The subject of steroids and HGH and even creatine are better left to those of us who know what we're doing.

Isn't it better that those who understand the subject of AAS and other ergogenic aids help to inform those who are less clear and in so doing, hopefully help them to make informed and educated decisions?
Kind of interesting... You said something like, "steroids hurt your insides." And I also heard something around how cigarrette companies advertised that they may be healthy, or whatever. Keep in mind "steroids" are exogenous hormones... Your body produces the most common steroid on a steroid cycle... testosterone naturally. The whole "harming your insides" thing is a typical pop-media deal. Steroids are rejected by the common population, yet faaaar more dangerous recreational drugs (proven to be more dangerous) are accepted among teenagers.
Creatine can be found in small amounts in MEAT! Don't compare it to steroids, it's not even remotely the same thing in ANY WAY!!!!!!!
I honestly think you should read up on it more before making judgement calls... Almost every, if not all major sports competitors use some form of steroids whethor or not they admit it. ;-)

Borgia - Red meat contains creatine, and since you're secure enough in your masculinity not to supplement with creatine, then I hope you enjoy being a vegetarian.
Creatine is perfectly fine as long as it is cycled. Moderation is the key (like EVERYTHING else in this world. Too much of a good thing is always bad).
Anabolic steroids. Fine as long as they are taken in moderation, and certain steps are taken to avoid bad consequences. These include spiro or nizoral for male pattern baldness, hawthorne berry or CoQ10 for blood pressure, milk thistle for liver detox, etc.
Now on to WHY we take creatine and AS/PHs.
First, I don't condone AS/PH to anyone with less than a few years training under their belt, with a great grasp on dieting and training concepts, as well as taking the time to really do their homework on the specific AS/PH they will be cycling (as well as PCT [post cycle therapy]).
Creatine - Best supplement since protein. Let's face it, everyone wants to maximize their gains. Here is a naturally occuring substance that does just so. Creatine basically acts as a sponge for your muscles, allowing increased nutrients (and water) to be sucked into your muscles. Creatine also increases ENDURANCE. As your body uses ATP (energy) it converts to ADP (which is useless). Now when creatine enters the body, it converts to creatine phosphate. Now the body takes the phosphate from the creatine, adds it to ADP, and the ATP molecule is restored, therefore causing increased endurance.
Anabolic Steroids/Prohormones - Bro there's a thing in every bodybuilder's life called GENETIC POTENTIAL. I agree that too many kids out there are juicing without any sort of foundation upon which to build, and they end up losing all their gains post cycle and wonder why. But for the real bodybuilder, after years of training eventually the gains will become MUCH harder to come by. Enter steroids. They can take the bodybuilder further than his genetics would ever let him.
You act like it's some horrible foreign substance (like nicotine) when in fact steroids are just hormones! It's all based around test (that's testosterone, just in case you couldn't pick up on that. It seems you're uninformed on steroid/prohormone use, so I'll try to spell things out), and secondly the involvement of estrogen. When you really think about it, there is no such thing as a side effect from AS/PHs . . . it's just all related to the test/estrogen balance in the body.
So in the future, don't try to slam on things that you have NO grasp on. Go take some time to educate yourself properly on the role that supplements have. If you decide that gear is not right for you, then that's a choice for you to make. However if you do make that choice, then don't think it gives you some right to go bashing all the juicers. These are just normal everyday people who want to push the envelope of their fitness level. Thank you for your time Borgia, you may now have your ass handed back to you.

I am with borgia on this one. When the BBs played with testosterone injections 25 years ago, there also weren't any "long term studies that prove that [blah blah] is harmful"
Now their balls dont' work and they have liver failure.
I do BB to be healthy as the main reason. Lookin good for a year or two is unimportant.

I already told you, it's all about moderation. If you "play" around with test, as you like to say, then yeah you can end up with balls the size of raisins and needing a liver transplant. Now if you do controlled cycles, with proper countermeasures (milk thistle, nolva or clomid post cycle, etc), then you'll be just fine.

Its interesting that people have such a urge to shout me down - instead of being secure in what u are doing and laughing/ignoring me - u feel a need to slam me. Suggests that this post hit some raw spots.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

I too am surprised this is still running but we are here to discuss so why not....
Good post Fender (I assume as an 18 year old you will hold back for a few years before using) although I do believe there can be test (or more accurately DHT) related sides - hair loss for example. But you are right, estrogen is often the culprit - espcially for any prostate problems. Not too much you can do anyway as EVERY man is going to experience Benign Prostate Hypertrophy at some stage - Saw Palmetto will help for a healthy prostate. By the way Fender - prostate health would be a good use for Arimidex although as it shuts off estrogen production completely caution is advised.
You really need to be doing a high dose of test to experience too many probs - upwards of a gram a week I would guess and even then only if for an extended period of time.
Using gear will cause the testes in to atrophy DURING the cycle due to the body shutting down production of leutinizing hormone but this is only temporary - even if no post cycle therapy is used - although the use of hcg, clomid and/or nolvadex will speed up the process.
I haven't heard of too many users needing liver transplants by the way.

Templeton - Don't worry bro, I haven't used AS or PHs. I'm going to see what I can do naturally first. I'm just a firm believer in doing as much research as possible, that way when/if I decide to go on gear I'll be able to do it right. I mean I'm still pumping out plenty of natural test, plus my endocrine system may still be developing (this can take until you are about 21 years old). I just don't see why people like Borgia are so anti-gear. I mean I'm not forcing a syringe into his glutes or anything. I think it's up to each of us whether or not it is right for us. Gearing isn't a cop out, quick fix, sign of insecurity, etc - it is just a manipulation of our very own hormones that can help the experienced bodybuilder achieve a supraphysiological level of muscle mass.

I don't know about steroid use being a sign of insecurity, but i do know that talking about issues you know nothing about is a sign of stupidity. With that said, creatine has less in common with steroids than worms do with eagles.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
