Hello Gentlemen,
So this is my first post. I used to lurk around here some a while back, but lost interest when i started getting some hook ups. But as usual with me, its floods or droughts, I'll do really well for a few months then long dry spells.
So here I am again. I've been wanting to put a profile online on Lava or something for a while, and finally took the time to make one up today, and I would appreciate any feedback from you gents before I post it. I know online has lots of flaws and all that, and its not as good as the real deal, etc, etc, but i figure its better than nothing and a start at least. Baby steps. Besides I'm stuck in the boondocks alot of the time, and in reality it's all I've got to work with anyway, you wouldn't want to pick up the girls where i am right now...trust me.
This profile is pretty honest. I know theres a lot of conflicting theory on that floating around, like you should write about what an as*hole you are and all that, but i just think thats pretty weak. When i read things like that all i see is someone trying to convince himself of what he's wrote. And then if you do meet these people, they're obviously going to see you're just a phony aren't they? I don't see anything suave-y in that. But, I'm not a woman and I haven't scored much lately, so maybe i'm wrong.
So here it is fellas, fire away. I'm ready for your worst, especially about the last part haha. Sorry, it's true!
" I have what might be called an unorthodox life. I don’t have what I consider a permanent residence, more like a few places where I spend regular amounts of time, and I guess I could call them all home. I spend about half of my time in **, **, and **, which is where I grew up. The other half I spend in *****, where I work.
I travel a lot, I like going on mini adventures that don’t take too much planning. I’m lucky in the fact that the nature of my work allows me a lot of freedom, time, and access to do that kind of thing. But I do work hard and sacrifice a lot in order to live this way, and I think I earn my fun, for sure.
When I’m not on the go, I’m visiting my family, in **, where I just relax at home, being a bum, walking around our property, keeping in touch with the hometown, and just being a hick in general. Or having crazy fun in ** with my crowd there, living the whole mountain culture lifestyle. Voyages between these 2 places usually involve stopovers in **, where I keep in touch with the good friends I have there, swilling some Guinness or some scotch, having some good smokes, and maybe a motorcycle trip.
I like to read a lot, I’m constantly studying up on things I’m interested in, which are many (too many), good fiction, and non-fiction too. I’d like to have a big library in my house one day, with the fireplace, big leather chair, the works. Above all I like wilderness adventures, snowboarding and riding my motorcycles, I find these three things spiritual, and very “In the Now”.
I really value my free time and try not to waste too much of it. I like keeping my life as efficient as possible. I don’t watch a lot of TV but I do really like going to the theatre for movies, it’s not just the show, it’s the whole experience! When I do watch TV, I want to laugh, period. South Park, the Simpsons and Family Guy work for me, more than half an hour is too long anyways. I don’t like shows that you need to keep watching every week to keep track of what’s going on.
I keep fit, I’m not a gym fanatic but because I prefer girls with decent figures, I think it’s only fair they don’t have to deal with a fat gut. Besides exercise makes people feel good regardless.
I have a pretty solid moral fiber, and I’m fairly health conscious. That being said, I sometimes like to do things that I know are bad, wrong, and unhealthy just to satisfy the dark half….
I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to meet women and start relationships that may or may not lead into something more serious. If I do make some friends, that’s fantastic, I absolutely believe men and women can have real platonic relationships, but I have lots of them already.
I guess, in the end, I’m a hopeless romantic. I believe in fairy tale princes and princesses. Two people perfectly, ideally, created only for each other, who never get bored or complacent with each, and live happily ever after. I want to be with someone because were crazy about each other, not because it's a convenient business arrangement. "
