Thanks Ebach, you seem to be making good sence. I used to trust PRL's advice and some of it is good, but now I think he's coming off a bit extreem and paranoid. Why do I get the feeling he's just playing around. Ask any physiologist or scientist whether shyness is genetic. They will tell you that there is no gene for such a thing.
Calm down, buddy. Nobody wants to make people shy on purpose, that is true.
But that counts syht.
Because shy people are side products of this crazy world... the EXATCT kind of world you "DJ" guys so like and so talk about all the time. A fantasy world that does nothing else but poisons and destroys a good person's mind, body and relationships with people around him. It's called capitalism.
And there are lots and lots and lots and lots and LOTS and LOTS benefits from being "shy." And whatever one lacks can always be conpensated in his fantasy. Movies, books, commercials, computer games, comic books... billions of dollars roll here. "DJism" works the same way. Oh no thanks! No proving debates. I don't know why you even had to get involved in our little "introduction." When someone says that shyness is inbred I have to think (WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU THINKING). Shyness is psychological. True, certain traits affect the level of shyness but if you're raised in a productive environment you'll end up outgoing. Actually, there are SHY and EXTROVERTED people that if they could just get rid of their shyness they'll be very outgoing (that was the case with me). There's nothing wrong with being introverted but sometimes you have to speak what's on your mind if you don't want to get ran over by others. And it does happen all the time. Remember, if you don't take care of yourself, no one will take care of you.
As you can see I like ranting from time to time... s'all good.
Hey, PRL's got some good advice when it comes to women. I don't know if it's from reading a lot of theory or from actually being out there and doing his thing. In any case, he has some good advices, but here he's wrong. And he can't admit he's wrong. That's the ironic part. He's supposed to be this 41 year old DJ who acts like a 14 year old. I'm half his age (well a little older) so I don't have to pretend I'm the most mature guy out there because I'm not. I just have a lot of experience to back up my claims where as his backup is insults.
Anyway... I'm off for a while.

Many on this forum are introverts and have trouble with verbal communication! If you can't verbally communicate with women than your chances of being a success with them are slim!
Many of those in the computer field of work are considered introverts. The traits of this introverted mind fit well with the technical abilities needed for technologically related tasks! Verbal communication is not high on the list of requirements to get the job done.
'Shyness' is not a bad trait iin general - it just makes it tough to pursue women!
In terms of the theory that shyness is environmental - there are tens of millions of examples that it is not - members of the same familiy often have introverted and the opposite extroverted types - it cannot be environmental!
