I was thinking about this today while in class.

I usually carry a big book on my arms. A messenger bag across my shoulder and a water bottle. I was thinking I could be talking with a girl and walking and be like, "hey can you hold this book for me for a sec" (while walking), then hand her my messenger bag and finally my bottle (or maybe not the bottle) and then keep on walking like if nothing has happened...

Any thoughts on this?

I'd think it would be gold... but I want to hear other opinions.

All she has to do is drop your stuff on the floor when she realizes the joke's on her and you're laughing in her face - then who is the joke on? Whether she does that is going to depend on the chick, but it's the perfect comeback.

Usually this gag is done with a piece of trash like a newspaper or an empty drinks container, so the other person has to throw it away (and you don't care what happens to it).

I mean if you find it funny, I guess it's a practical joke (at risk of completely backfiring). But as a way to build attraction? Not really.
