Man, ever since I've been studying the Don Juan philosophy, I've been noticing how so much of the music I've been listening to all my life is crap. The other day, I hear The Who on the radio, and there's Pete Townshend, singing, "I know I'm worth nothing without you," which says his self esteem is based on a woman's acceptance. If I listen to Pink Floyd, I can hear music about a walled in momma's boy, who can't relate to women, etc. ....And that's just the TIP of the iceberg, regarding how my mind's been poisoned all these years.
No wonder I've ended up being a wuss!!! And a lot of the newer music is even more of a whining tone!
At least there's some good stuff, like "Give Me Back My Bullets," by Lynrd Skynrd, or "Hold on Loosely" by 38 Special.... and a lot of other ones.

2pac. Too Short. You can learn the game from Too Short, all his sh1t is real..

It's good, you're moving forward with your transformation. Now you're noticing things, learning more skillzz. Next step is not to get piss when you hear this rubish. Fine tune into yourself, even small piss over nothing is noticable, women are like mirror.

Yeah, I knew the rap music would come up! Sorry, not my bag.
I'll stick with The Ramones, and The Black Crowes. And yeah, I'm not really pissed about it, just noticing it.

I've realized that too.

So I cut down on that music a lot. And then I mix it in with a lot of other good music. Or a person who has the role of the halfway secure male.

And I also listen to a lot of music very day, so...

There's a line that I love from a hip hop song. It starts: "Sometimes ya'll mistake nice for soft..." "You gotta understand some stuff a man can't allow...You better chill before you climb a tree you can't get down."

See, this weepy, overly dramatic "I can't live without you" stuff is in our music, in our tv, in our movies... and it can be detrimental.

...but then again, we do have some quality media coming out that doesn't have to make us sacrifice our morals or our security as men. It's also a matter of knowing which music we should listen to but "understand," and which we should listen to and take to heart.

"I know I'm worth nothing without you" music does have it's place, and it should be studied and understood. But it shouldn't always be taken to heart.

It's just a matter of finding the right mix.

Male singers tend to show their emotions at how sad they are in their music whilst Female singers tend to show their emotions at how happy they are that their emotions are happy whether their relationship ended or not, they always seem to be "Attacking" and not "sobbing" about the whole thing. The only male artist except for the rappers is Justin Timerberlake - he shows emotion in his song but I guess what goes around comes back around , britney:box:

Define wuss music please, because anything that YOU LIKE is not WUSS music. Universally accepted is the fact that males tend to sing wuss music more often than females thats about it, but if that wuss music makes you happy than its not wuss music.

I'm sorry but Too short? Come on. Cumming on hoes and slappin *****es up has nothing to do with being a DJ. Get a clue and for the love of god stop talking about **** you dont know about. You sound like ****ing idiots. I spend more time correcting people than I do giving advice. Learn to STFU for a change.

I hate James Blunt. His excuse for music makes every ounce of testosterone leave my body, which is particularly dangerous when I'm in the squat rack at the gym with 405 across my shoulders and that fukken "you're beautiful" whine of a song comes on the overhead. Grrrr,..

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go purge just the memory of this song from my head with some Slipknot.

Ever since I started this thread, I've had that song by I think Chicago in my head..."If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me..."

Augh!!! Make it stop!

Too Short's crass lyrics is the absolute truth.

You didn't know? He's a player. All his sh1t is about pimping. Sure, you wouldn't listen to too short with your girl, I wud, but not everyone.

If you don't agree with what he is saying, and you gave him a try, then your mid set is not yet there yet, you still a recovering afc. No need to tell us you so good you here to give advice. You just a hoe, like everyone else.

His sh1t is like the realest sh1t you can find out there. You can learn from it.

I don't know why this got moved. It's about how music affects your inner DJ, and all that.

I'll pass on the Too Short. Not my style.

Lol I actually like him. OF course not in the gym though. Looking forward to his next album too.

Agreed about this whole music thing btw, it really does suck. The music a lot of us enjoy, we can't really listen to! I enjoy a lot of alternative, pop rock, trance. Rap too though not so much lately.

It's because most recording artists are emotional wrecks. They are dominated by their emotions and have depression/anxiety issues. Sadly most of their songs are about women.

Too short might be one of the funniest rappers ever if you just listen to what he is saying.

******* Betty is still want of my fav songs of all time.. he nutted so hard he killed the poor girl.

I have ALL of his music.. I"m not even that big into rap anymore but when I want something to perk me up or to get my juices flowing, nothing like riding down the highway listening to Too Short

never was a big 2pac guy.. never really was THAT big into rap in general

Dont pass up on 2pac though. The guy has respect for women, but even more respect for himself and his masculinity. The realist lyrics i've ever heard:

'Enough talking, you want me to leave i'll hit the walk and see you later, cos baby im a player!!!'
