WTF is up?!

I dont know what the hell im dealing with.. Im talking to this girl and i dont know if she is need of alot of attention or what.. She says im mean to her, sometimes we are both at work so we talk through AIM.. And sometimes ill tell her stuff like "whatever" or say something AS A JOKE and she takes it real serious like im mean or something.. So sometimes i dont even know if i should respond back to her message cuzz i dont know if she gonna get offended or not.. And today she stopped talking because of this lol

Her: You are mean to me
Me: Nah im not i treat u like a princess LOL
Her:No u not, and u laughing
Me: HA HA
Her: Whatever

end of convo doesnt respond apparently gets mad WTF lol

So before i go back to work i message her to say bye because i had to go and i was like "you gotta chill out or something cuzz you be taking everything mad serious whatever i say, its like i cant say a joke or something without you getting mad, peace"

What am i supposed to do should i say sorry which i dont think i should at all but if this girl has such fragile feelings i dont know..

Some of you may say she testing you out or something, but to tell you the truth i dont think she is, it seems like she actually does think im mean or something.

We are both college students

What should i do leave it?

dude, I have a few explanations.

1. she is stupid and kinda slow up in the head. she doesn't GET sarcasm, and she doesn't GET that you are trying to be witty.

2. she is very shy/not used to joking around/sheltered/uptight. again, she doesn't GET that you are being sarcastic and witty.

3. you are the problem. when you say your jokes, you aren't smiling, setting the tone of the conversation, and just not being able to convey your feelings. the solution? drop her, don't joke around her, or after every joke say that you were joking and ask her, "get it?"

Yankee Ive dealt with this situation before..

This girl could dish out c/f..then WHENEVER I did it..she would say "you are soo mean to me!!"

Sometimes she would cop an attitude and I wouldnt hear from her in days.

What I did was say this to her:

"Listen, I really like the way we can joke around with each other..but sometimes I see you taking things I say as a joke too seriously! You know me and that Im always teasing you..so stop taking everything I say at heart"

After that she was really cool..No Apologies..just an explanation of your sense of sarcasm and humor

is that its actually a NEG HIT...telling her she is too serious and doesnt have a sense of humor AND it will get her to lighten up..

after I said this to her..she stopped with the "You're so mean to me!" stuff..

she said it a few more times after that in which I said "don't start gettin all serious on me again!"

and eventually it stopped

becareful with what you say....i once made a joke to this chick about her weight and i lost all my chances of getting in her pants. The truth is she was to serious about things and was'nt lose. Chicks that dont understand jokes are only good to look at, and nothing more...well maybe a couple of other things as well
