Hey everyone. Basically this has been an injury plagued year so far. I had tendinitis in my elbow, so I couldn't lift for a month. Now I'm finally back to lifting but I have some pain in my wrist when I bend it like for doing pushups. It doesn't hurt when I lift weights only when I bend it. What should I do? I even didn't lift weights for several weeks and it still didn't get better.

do some wrist stretches

If you're a desk jockey, I guess it's the elbow of the arm you're using to control your mouse.

Check your posture
* shoulders rolled forward?
* upperback bent?

It always comes from the shoulders.

use workout gloves with wrist wraps, should stabilize your wrist more.

Good idea...where can I get some good wrist wraps and what brand? I use workout gloves by the way.

Also, my wrist is still bothering me. I've been icing several times a day, and I just started taking time off from the gym for rest. Am I doing all I can for this? How long do sprains usually take to heal?

Hmm.. along the same topic, I broke my wrist playing football years ago and have always felt alot of pain in my wrist since then when attempting to do curls, bench presses or anything when lifting heavy on my wrist. I also pulled the tendon in my wrist a few years back.. Always thought it was just that my wrist was bum now after beign broken and stuff.. maybe it's just that it needs stretching out properly...
