When I got into my 30’s I discovered how valuable PNC really is. Every time I got all excited over someone, I’d let it rip and if I still wanted to go out with her afterward, I’d happily do so. 99.9% of the time I would end up no-showing because I was thinking clearly. I’m 45 now and have not entertained the idea of going out with a woman in nearly 5 years due to complete mental clarity. I went from, “damn, she’s effing hot! Was so close to ghosting a woman yesterday because I knew my out-of-town date would be expensive. Didn't go for clarity, didn't want to be that much of jerk because she's a friend of a friend, and went on the date. It turned out EXACTLY as expected. I spent $600 on said date. She had 5 opportunities to split a bill and never offered. We knocked it out 3 times, but of course that "juice wasn't worth the squeeze".

29 dates, 24 separate guy complaints... I've just never dated 24 people in any given 5 years of my life.

Women: "I have to do XYZ before dates!" Men: "I have to start work at 5:30am and work OT to ve able to AFFORD to take YOU out. And that is an every day thing, not just date night."
