To the person who responded to me in "bold," there's no need to take it personal. I haven't had enough time to sit on the computer and read every response folks have written on this topic until fairly recently, and my questions were put out of genuine curiosity. Some of you on here just seem to love getting confrontational with others no matter what the topic is about.
At least half the posts here say to drop the musclemilk and then give you advice on what to do to gain muscle properly. All we're trying to do is stop you from spinning your wheels like so many others do.

The best way to minimise fat gain when putting on muscle is low intensity morning cardio 4-5 days a week with some higher intensity conditioning such as sled pulling 2 days a week. That and minimising intake of simple carbs, and complex carbs if you're prone to putting on fat with a high carbohydrate diet, as many people are.

Cytogainer is trash. It's essentially whey protein + maltodextrin + vitamins. Essentially it's just carbs and protein. If you're worried about getting fat, dont buy it.

It will make you fat.

It will make you fat.

It will make you fat.

If you want to get big muscles without gaining fat. Read the threads simon linked you to. You need to get your DIET, REST and TRAINING in order, and if you do, you'll gain far more muscle with less fat than any of these supplements will do for you. Eat Big, Sleep Long, and Train Hard and you will see HUGE gains.

Only than are you ready for supplements, the most important is ANY whey protein isolate, the MAIN ingredient in MuscleMilk, Cytogainer, and basically any other "mass" supplement. Look at trueprotein.com and buy the Whey Protein Isolate Cold Filtrated. It doesn't have all the JUNK in it that MuscleMilk or Cytogain have, strictly protein for big muscle building with minimal fat increase.

Simon didn't take it personally. He's trying to get you to see the point, which is that there is no magic drink, no magic routine, no magic pill that will help you gain muscle. There's lots of information, and it takes some time & effort to digest, particularly because it often goes against conventional wisdom.

Yeah simon isn't taking anything personal and isn't trying to start anything with you. Your basically coming here and posting questions which reveal your lack of understanding on other areas of the whole weight training topic that your not seeing. Using Muscle Milk or not using muscle milk means nothing in the grand scheme of things. This question shows that your not familiar with proper training/diet because if you were you wouldn't of asked such a question in the first place.

Take the time that you were going to use to repsond in this thread and use it to look for the idiots guide and read it. After your done reading it start a new thread with new questions you have as a result of reading through the idiots guide.

They're usually full of simple carbs like maltodextrin which will spike your insulin tremendously and make it more likely that you'll put on fat.
