Well, I thought I had Carpal Tunnel, but I barely have any of the symptoms of it. Instead, I have this numbness, tingling in the fingers of my left hand. I also have some minor to moderate shooting pain in those fingers. My shoulder, and the nerve in my underarm also feels sore. The right arm/hand feels similar on occasion. I also have some back pains, neck soreness, and constant headache. When I walk around I feel short of breath.

I got a blood-test done today, it showed that I have a high level of white blood cells. According to what I found on Google, that's usually the result of asthma, allergies, or a parasitic disease. Of course, you know when you have some symptoms you always think the worst. But it's just weird trying to figure out what it is, because the symptoms are odd, and asthma/allergies would have nothing to do with finger numbness and headache.

I seriously hope whatever I have isn't life-threatening or anything bad. Although last week I had a dream about dying and constantly have had thoughts about dying for some reason. I've done some drugs in the past, and I really hope that it's not a result of that. Well, I'll find out tomorrow.

If you had a disease that was going to kill you, you would be really depressed if you knew about it. On the other hand, if you knew you could take preventative measures. It's just a good discussion, so I thought I would bring it up. Hopefully you guys are all healthy.

So, if you had a disease that was going to kill you, would you rather know about it or not?

leukemia maybe? Why don't you go see a real doctor.

If I knew I had a life-threatening disease, I would start doing lots of fun, dangerous stuff. And then when I got close enough to my end (hopefully I would still have enough energy), I would pick out some real atrocious dictator overseas. Then I would go on a suicide assassination mission against the bastard and go out with a bang.

I'd rather NOT know about it, because I will end up saying something, and then the compassion starts...and it just gets gay. And then what if you don't die for a long time anyways...and you wasted all that time worrying about it, and getting cried over, and crying for something you might never get to obtain because you're gonna die?

Fackkkkk that, I'd rather die while doing something that I enjoy, then spend the time worrying about absolutely dying. Your time will come, and no amount of worrying will make it prolong itself.

i would like to know only if there is a treatment that could make it go away or that you could still live a suitable life.

i would not like to know if it is something that will kill me with or without whatever treatments are available.

White blood cells are the immune system's defense mechanism. White blood cells go on high alert whenever something is in your body that shouldn't be... a cold, a flu, chicken pox, leukemia, you name it. The presence of a high amount of white blood cells tells you virtually nothing. A doctor, however, would.

And here's a tip. "Life-threatening" does not usually equal "fatal" UNLESS you bury your head in the sand. Even with most "fatal" illnesses you can live a long life if treated properly. How long has it been since Magic Johnson announced he is HIV positive?

Yikes, keep us updated on this. Hopefully it is not as serious as you are making it sound like.

As for the whole knowing if you have something or not, I would choose yes. Sometimes, it does hurt to know the truth. But I would rather know the truth even if it is bad or painful then to live my life in ignorance.
