Accurate. The volume of choices is so high that even 10% of a big number is still a lot of choice.

I knew a 35 year old average looking woman who didn't open her Tinder for a few weeks. She had ~1,000 in her swipe queue. She swiped through all those men and swiped right on only about 100 of them. 100 options is still a lot of options.

I think we've all known some white collar, college educated men with decent incomes who fit that description. A lot of men would be in this bucket.

There are men here as well. It doesn't take much to end up living with your parents. One job loss based upon the whims of executive management at a company would put a lot of men back home. Graduating into a recession as well.

I agree that women would rather be single than date a lot of men out there. Women are quite fussy and send a lot of good men to the rejection pile, along with the ones that have nothing going for them. The employed, boring, AFCs with no game outnumber than complete losers though. The employed, boring, AFCs would be decent mates for women in another era. In the Boomer generation, a lot of those AFCs got married. AFCs started to become less desired for the X'er women (AFC as a term has its origins in Gen X). By the time the Millennials became old enough to have a significant presence in the mating market, AFCs were even less desired than they were in Gen X.
