Good stuff as always Burroughs. Every man should listen to this.

I see what this video is talking about on a weekly basis. My female co-workers shame male co-workers with these tactics all the time.

If a male co-worker annoys them, calls them out, or doesn't take their side on an issue.. they go passive-aggressive on him. They give him attitude and silence to intimidate him into submission.

Women cannot control men any other way outside of seduction and manipulation. Physical force is pointless. Without the tools of manipulation women are powerless against men. Women figured this out a long time ago and the gradual increase in female power around the world is the result. This is no mistake.

Women didn't just seduce men into doing their bidding, they also refused to raise their kids with men they could not control. So even if they have kids by an alpha male (or bad boy) they make sure they find a submissive beta male to raise the kid. A beta she can control, thus allowing her to dominate how the kids are raised. Sons are raised to worship women and feel they "need" women.

They are raised to think women are the only reason to live.

This is why you see men becoming more feminine with each generation. Not just behavior-wise but physically as well....

Notice the gradual decrease in masculinity... both in attitude and looks.

That's just terrible statistics there PlayHer Man. Really it's worse than christians cherry picking on which parts of the bible to listen to.

Go back and pick a. the same line of work. b. the same age. c. from the same country. Then you might begin to make a valid and logical point. Otherwise you're just spewing propaganda mate. Fix up. I get your point and I agree it's somewhat valid, but it's poor science and thus is no PROOF, its just an opinion with photos.

Media portrayal of "sexy" is what I was getting at.

The alpha male is no longer glorified. Men are encouraged to be beta males and women are encouraged to seek beta males for "serious" relationships.

OF COURSE there were girly men from the baby boomer generation and of course there are masculine men in Generation Y. The point is.. the masculine man is no longer glorified. We glorify the faggot.

I get you. And by "we" you mean the media and women. I don't know any men, wusses or otherwise who glorify bieber and that weird dude. Those are musicians which throughout history have been gay or gender nuetrual or just weird. Again, show me the wussy blockbuster action movie star and the wussy bodybuilder and the wussy MMA fighter. The men that other men look up to don't fit your narrative. But we can say they do if that's what you're into.

I see what you mean. But even in the music world you can see a transition over time.

In the 50's and 60's you had Elvis and James Brown. They were masculine.

Then in the 70's you had Bruce Springsteen, Steve Perry and Marvin Gaye... still pretty masculine.

Then the 80's you have Michael Jackson and Prince and Rick Ashley.. this is where they start getting noticeably feminine. Also a lot more females dominated music in the 80's like Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, etc.

Then the 90's you have boy bands like N'Sync and Backstreet Boys. More feminine still.

Then the 2000's you have Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars and Maroon 5. Slightly more masculine? Maybe...

And now we have Justin Bieber and Swedish House Mafia and Bruno Mars. Sure we have Chris Brown too.. BUT he is "bad" so we don't like him.

Only the rap artists have stayed masculine.

Am I exaggerating? Maybe. Are there exceptions? Maybe. But I think we can see an overall pattern that points to the direction we are going in.

Yah I don't agree, you still are confirming your own bias. Anyone could make that list. You still had Little Richard at the dawn of rockN roll who was a known fag and liberace. There have always been popular fags in music, acting, theatre. Sorry. It's just true. Your list proves nothing objectively. Subjectively...thats a different story.

Show me a 13 year old boy who wants to be Justin Bieber and I show you the odd man out of the group.

The biggest star of the 70s was probably Elton John. Also big were David Bowie, Rod Stewart, "Alice" Cooper, Queen with Freddie Mercury, and glam rock in general.

So there's always been that feminine element in rock. Although I do agree with the major point that the overall populace is becoming more feminine and less masculine. I think there are more female singers in popular music now than there used to be, also.

When I was growing up, the biggest thing was rock "bands" made up of four or five males - like the Beatles. More recently, the trend has been toward "solo artists". The band doesn't really get credit, just the singer.
