The last few weeks I have had more women making their way into my life then ever. Old girls are coming back, new girls are popping up. Talking to an older female coworker, she said it's just that season. The winter, holidays, nobody wants to be alone during this time. Honestly, I'm focused on my health and career right now, I can't be bothered with having anything more than a FB.

When you aren't trying[dating a keeper,married,work etc] you have a different look/vibe.When you are looking at women like a kid in the candy store with no money[OMG I WANT that],you never get one. When you've got other things going on, they notice the lack of attention and want it. I haven't figured out how to keep it steady and I'm almost 50. I've just learned to go with the flow[try to stock up some for the dry times,but haven't been too successful-yet]

This is very, very true, and I have pondered the desparity between the urgency of the pickup game and the real world results of not giving a fvck. Despite leaving AFCness behind, I believe the feast and famine phenomenon will always be there, if not always so all or nothing.

Ah, you said it. "It's weird". No "game" needed. It is generally understood that in order to pull the babes, running "game" is a pre-requisite. So, what else could it be? Ever think it was just the way things were supposed to play out? Fate? I know the "fate" lectures are getting old, but this example(your response) is a good way to illustrate my point. it could take only ONE female that shows interest in you. its more about you you RESPOND to that one persons interest that can trigger this.

I could see that. I definately had the mindset that I was a player, and I'm here to have fun and I was a big ass flirt during that time when I went out. I went out for my own amusement and just had my own fun.
But a lcouple of them were girls that were coming back, some nexted girls, some I used to have as FBs. just the timing.
The two I picked up where an old FB and a New chic I just met and went out with. The old FB dropped me cause I was AFC when I met her (fresh out of my divorce and gunshy as hell, she told me today that if I was the way i am now she would not have talked to me (intimidated) because I'm so sure of myself and have confidence, but she says that also why she's attracted to me now. She's wanting a relationship with me now, when she was the one who broke it off before. I just treat her like an FB and don't get all emotional like I was then.

Yeah it's f*ckin' weird man. It really trips you the f*ck out. Life is too strange. Although with me, when I have the "feast", it's usually a month or two apart. One woman one month, another the next, or next 2 months.ketostix said:

It is an interesting phenomenon. My LTR moved out on a Saturday in early February. I decided to go out for a beer that night with some folks from work and run into the best FB I ever had. Hadn't seen her in over two years! Fast forward to a couple of months later and I've got four more in rotation. Of course, none of it means much to me.
