This sentiment has be posted on here many times. Usually it's "be a rock for her to anchor to". Though after reading his way of stating it made me think of another analogy.

Women look for the masculine man and constantly test for strength to be "wrapped in a blanket". Knowing they're emotionally driven which leads to much second guessing and insecurity, they want the secure feeling of being wrapped in a blanket from a man.
