My mother started cutting her hair really short when she was in her late 30s. She was also 50lbs overweight, at least. She was thin and beautiful until she gave birth to her 4th and last kid. My dad hated it. He was a prick about it because he would talk about it in front of me and my sisters. I asked her, back then, why she cut it short. She said it was because long hair is more difficult to maintain. She also said she felt more attractive and that my dad just had a different opinion. In her late 40s, when it was still short, she said older women look older when their hair is longer because they look frumpy. Now that she is in her early 60s, her hair is long, she has lost weight, and she dyes it blonde. Now that she's older she is doing everything she can to feel younger and stay healthy. I talked with her recently about her diet and weight loss. She said she is so mad at herself for giving up and not losing the weight when she younger. She basically said my dad was so mean about it that she cut off her hair because she was depressed and didn't feel attractive anymore so there was no point in dealing with the maintenance of long hair. Now that she is thinner she likes her hair again.

So that's one woman's story. The other is an old friend of mine. She occasionally chops off her hair because she thinks it looks good. But eveyrtime she cuts it off, she regrets it. haha. She is about a 7 with long hair, a 3 with short. It makes that much of a difference.

I agree most women just look better with long hair. I have seen many women who look damn good with the short hair look though. Usually they're very feminine and thin. I dated one that I thought looked really cute and hot with hair shorter than mine. It was actually the reason I approached her. And for a while the short hair look seemed ok because it reminded me of her. But ya, most women just look terrible with it.

I've noticed that a lot of women just have funny shaped heads and goofy ears haha. You don't realize it until they chop off their hair. Anybody else notice this?

Short hair on a woman = "I've given up on my sexuality and convenience has become more important". That of course does not include feminists who are an entirely different level of insanity.

I've already told my women that short hair won't fly in my kingdom. She knows full well she'd have hell to pay if she cut it short. Since she's an authentic woman, she's more than happy to oblige me.
Yeah I told my wife short hair isn't happening, ever. The shortest I'll tolerate is something like just above shoulder length. Those real short haircuts women gets sometimes = "i want to speak to the manager" haircuts = feminists.

I prefer long hair, but short hair does look good on some women depending on their style, body structure, face, and head shape...

There is just something undeniably sexy about long flowing hair, especially if it is well taken care of...

I jad very long hair in high school. I paid probbably 100 a week between keeping it braided tight and hair products. Plus the 6 or so hours a week it took to get my bair braided.
Now im.bald. I spend 2 mins. A day shaving and probably have spent 20 dollars all year, and I look better

Plus some women pull that **** off. Have fhe biggest crush ever on Julianne Nicholson and she has short hair. Natalie portman pulls that **** off too

1 odd thing I have noticed over the last 10 years is that woman seem to have thinner hair. on TV I see a lot of actresses models TV presenters who presumably at the top of the female food chain looks wise. and I often think you are hot but need more hair. I'm wondering if there are contaminants in our home products or food that is causing this.

Personally I'm in the majority and like long hair. my girlfriend recently discussed getting her hair cut short with me. I told her she could do what she wants but I like long hair and thankfully that was the end of that

Speaking of hair... had this girl at a bar yesterday come up to me and start getting flirty. We chatted for a bit about how she is old enough to be my mom. I am 34, she is probably mid-40's, probably a 7, maybe a 6. Anywho, she starts touching my chest and arms which have become more noticeable lately. I turn her around and smack her ash...

She says "pull my hair when you do that"...
I was like wtf in my head... so I did it...
then she said, "no, like this"... puts my hand on the back of her head and says "you need to get it all and from the back"
So I grab her hair, pull hella hard, and smack her ash really hard
she was like "that's how you do it" and then grinded on me for like 5 mins
Teased me like she was ready to make out

weirdest bar experience ever. And it was all about the hair.... Couldn't have done that if she didn't have nice long hair...

You don't say anything about the close.

No close unfortunately.

I got distracted and turned away, and she walked away. Pretty sure she was just having fun. Was tripping about it all night though... I could tell she would have taught me some things..

What I learned...
-I tried to make out with her 2 times during the situation... shouldn't have... looks weak and pursuing...
-Should have played along with the "your young enoug to be my son", versus trying to say I am not...
-how to pull a woman's hair... this will definitely be added to my bedtime naughtiness...

Man, I am going to love this single thing, I am beginning to believe my ex did me a huge favor...

My mother swears that women have deeper hairlines and more forehead during that same period you describe. I think it's likely hormones in chicken and other meats. I've also noticed more younger women with really thin hair - especially around the bangs

That's the standard way women like their hair to be grabbed - close to the skull. Any amount of hair, this side of Mia Farrow, will allow you to do that

Some women can definitely pull off the short hair look. Though personally I think both of those women look better with longer hair. Natalie Portman is attractive, but I think she has a bit of a lesbian vibe to her. She did do that scene with Mila Kunis in Black Swan.

My girlfriend was watching some chick movie (You've Got Mail) the other day, and commented that it was weird seeing Meg Ryan with long hair (this was before she destroyed her face with plastic surgery). She is more closely associated with short hair, although she probably looked better in her earlier movies when it was a little past her shoulders. Of course she was younger then too, so that may be a factor.

I know this might sound odd, but when I look at modern actresses, I could almost swear they use steroids to keep fit. This would explain hair loss.

The only reason long hair should irritate a woman is if she's on top of you. (I give her one of her hair ties. lol) Or if she's going down on me (I hold their hair aside for them.)
Outside of that, they should respect our wishes for long, feminine hairstyle.

I wore mine long a few tears ago and it pissed her off when I was on top, so I tied mine back. Problem solved. She was highly irritable anyway. I thought a few times, of buying her a case of Pamprin for Christmas, lmfao! That would have lit her up for sure, hahaha

A few of my thoughts on this:

First off, some woman CAN pull off short and still look sexy. But I think it requires an extremely feminine face. No manly jaw bones, she needs to have big feminine lips and a good body. Girls with short hair and no ass/tits just look like a little boy to me.

Secondly, I think most of the woman you are describing (the older woman) probably are already secured in a marriage, and letting themselves go. We see it all the time. They snag the dude. Now they can get fat, eat ice cream and chocolate while watching Netflix all day and the man is expected to remain faithful while she slowly lets herself go.

Woman also cut their hair when they have babies/toddlers. My ex when I met her had a small child and decided to cut her hair short do to the hair constantly getting in the way or the child pulling on it constantly.

It can also be a "**** you, I'm an independent woman" message to the world, popularized by pop stars thanks to Pink and what not. I think alternative girls generally lean towards this style. Obviously you can't judge a book by it's cover, but if I see a girl with short black hair, heavy eye makeup, and a studded belt on, I tend to run for the hills. I used to be into these kind of chicks when I was younger, but the only thing I've seen is emotional BPD woman who often have daddy/abandonment issues and will do you ****ing more dirty than your last 10 exes combined.

Also, short hair is easier to maintain, and not as "permanent" if they decide to dye and experiment with different colors. It's kind of the equivalent of when a man starts shaving his head when he starts balding. It's too much of a hassle to keep a style and it looks terrible anyway.
