So I was hanging out with this woman the other night and during a conversation about previous relationships, she mentions how her ex gave her The Game to read while they were dating.

I pretended to have never heard of it so see just how much of an impact the book made and I was astounded at how much she recited from it - negs, being a jerk, ignoring the girl, etc

She said she's now well aware how guys act to get a girl and that ALL guys do it (guess she's never met a needy/desperate guy?)

It was a little weird after, I felt as if she was analyzing all my moves and words in reference to the book. I acted super aloof and as if she was a good friend, dropped any "negs" or ****y/funny.

She ended up giving me a pretty sweet bj. But I think it's funny 1. Her bf at the time had her read te book, and 2. That more women are aware to what guys look up in terms of "getting the girl"

I would have acted the other way round - had I read the whole book and had I been confident that I can be congruent. Something along the lines: Sure, I have read the book several times over - Teasingly: why do you think you felt so attracted to me in the first place.

It might backfire, but I have had relatively good results with similiar approaches.

I'm actually amazed at all the guys that I see using "negs", teasing, and busting on girls. I don't know if they're doing it intentionally or not, but from what I see at least it's very widespread. Pretty much everyone has access to the internet these days, so I imagine most guys have Googled this at some time or other. I know a lifelong nerdish failure with women who was recently telling me about how he was spinning plates (he didn't use that term though). He really wants a LTR but he's given up on it.

As for the needy/desperate guys, if they're really in that bad of shape they're probablly afraid to approach in the first place. So from her perspective, most of the guys who are hitting on her are either naturals or using a little bit of "game".

Also, it's very much in the mainstream that women do not like needy or desperate guys. This was common knowledge when I was a youngster, so I imagine it's even more well known now. Even though I really was kind of desperate back in the day, I knew enough that I was supposed to act like I wasn't. I mean it's almost social skills 101: Don't act like a needy, worthless leech. The problem with some guys is that they can't help themselves.

I've actually never read the book but am aware of it and it's context but regardless I acted like I'd never even heard of it in order to see how much of it she actually remembered and resonated.

Otherwise if she keeps wanting to talk to it...then I don't see any issues in engaging in theoretical discussion about it. A lot of chicks like to talk about this kind of stuff. If you know about it, as in how they operate and tricks that (other)guys use, that's great, it's better than being ignorant to it. I have a friend who talks about this stuff to women all the time, it's usually his main conversation piece. He'll admit to going NC or ignoring girls on purpose. Even to girls he's seeing. When they call him on BS, and say "that would never work on me!!!" he says: "remember how we met...."

Your response to "The Game" quest should depend on context. If she asks you this on the first date, it is merely a sh!t test and any of the above responses will suffice. HOWEVER...

If this is asked in later meetings, she is testing you for compatibility. If you have not laid her yet...stick to a conservative route.

Why do you ask?

-She will either spill the beans non what she is expecting and you overcome it that way. If she does not, let her know in a conversation that:

If a woman bangs 5 guys a year, she is s|ut, but if a man were to bang 10 chicks in a year, he is praised. This is the reason why there are desperate, insecure and h0rny guys out there today.

This draws out SOOO many answers.
