Yea all four of mine are impacted right now. For me, the pain lingered consistently for about a month, and then went slowly went away. Personally, I just dealt with it. You might wanna check about getting them removed sometime soon though. The longer you wait, the deeper they grow towards nerves beneath your gum.

I have all my wisdom teeth, but it doesn't hurt. They're already full grown too. I guess I lucked out.

go check with your dentist. s/he'll probably get you an x-ray to see if they're impacted or whatnot. and get some painkillers if they hurt REAL bad

it aint always that easy...

mine were growing impacted, but for the best part, unexposed..
they had to cut all of my gums open, and drag the bastards out of there.. BUT if i didn't do it... i'd have some really really messed up teeth (they aren't great now).. i had to have 4 sets of stitches in my gums and i couldn't really brush my teeth for about a week, and could barely eat for a few days..
BUT i did get jelly and ice cream at the hospital :)

how do you know wheter it is impacted or not without going to the hospital?

call me a chicken...but i really hope my case would be like California Love...pain for a month then everything back to normal...

care to shed some light?

Same with me, they were impacted in the jaw. I had to have them extracted before I got braces when I was about 14 or 15. Oral surgery, put under, the whole works.

Oh, and to REALLY scare everybody... I woke up during the surgery.

i woke up and i'm like, is it done yet?

i was just like.. "MAD!"

then the lady gave me ice cream and jelly, she said "if you eat it all i'll let u go home"
i tried so hard to eat it all.. but it was hard..
then she came and said "OMG NO ONE HAS EVER EATEN SO MUCH!"
then i threw up heaps of blood/ice cream and jelly...

then i felt great :)

Same here. I got them all taken out at once when I was about 15. I got to stay home from school for a couple days, but it wasn't worth it. I could barely eat. I couldn't touch my top and bottom teeth together for a few days, and I looked like a chipmunk.

I got lucky aswell, my dentist said i have a big mouth, and i have already had braces and no pain, so he thinks im going to be fine :) aslong as i keep brushing them !:p

BTW to the original thread starter, GO TO THE DENTIST, you are not qualified to make any judgments on your teeths condition, only x-rays can. Trust me, the longer you wait the harder and more painful the recovery will be. If you get them while they arnt fully impacted its less pain recovering, so GO TO THE DENTIST ASAP. BTW i speak from experience my mate had them out.

Well, when my wisdom teeth first came in i was in constant pain.. nothing that i found worked to ease the pain...

When I had my bottom two pulled the had to be broken into four parts because of root spurs...

Good news is that the top two came out extremely easy.. There isn't as much bone for them to dig into as the bottom..

The bottom two teeth had me knocked out on pain killers for a few days... The top two had no effect as far as recovery pain..

A word to the wise though. If you smoke, forget it while the wounds are healing. Also avoid using straws. The suction can cause your wounds to develop dry socket and from what i hear it is a pain nobody wants to experience..

Hope that makes you feel a little better... :D

Good luck man, it's gonna be painful but it wont last forever.
