Will the loss of jobs make women more amenable to polygyny?

I was reading an article about why marriage rates are plummeting, and in it, there was a blurb about how women do not want to marry a man who cannot hold down a job (or does not have a suitable level of assets, etc.)

It seems to be that with the rise of robots and expert system software, there will be many such men. Women will still have their maternal instinct, and want that instinct to be satiated in a proper social contract (i.e., that marriage has always done.) It seems that the only way that this will work out is if multiple women are allowed to marry the same wealthy enough man.

Or do you think that women will simply discard the necessity of marriage to poor, unemployed men - and free of the constraints of monogamous marriage - and simply get pregnant with the best available sperm donor (i.e., a good-looking, "bad boy" poor, unemployable man)?

We will see this in 50 years or less...the middle class was an anomaly of history that its actual members failed to comprehend...and so they were swept away....

Feudalism will once again return...it is in place right now but is largely invisible to the lumpen masses, the middle class are already poor they just don't comprehend it yet.

I think if you are a man with $$$ assets you can already do this provided you don't OFFICIALLY MARRY..this gives the woman access to your empire legally...just date and fvck find various women to service your needs then rinse and repeat as needed...

And yet I was in a room yesterday with about 20 millionaires and nearly every single one was married. Did they have mistresses, I'm sure some did, but everyone I met personally introduced me to their wife. Somehow I just don't see SS bro logic working in the real world.

Did you ask the wives if they slutted it up in their youth with various artists and rock musicians and then found the wealthiest beta they could to settle with (of course you didn't you can't ask these questions in polite company

I know a fair number of millionaires with inherited money, and they tend to be a fairly beta group by in large. And quite stupid when it comes to women..most have to manage the family trust fund or holding company, and have a fair number of prep school and 7 sisters college women waiting around for them.

But regardless, the things that will change is that the middle class is eroding at such a fast level that women will have to modify their behavior by default to land a millionaire. It will be like when the titantic went down, 8-10 hb women scrambling to find husbands pulling in 500,000K a year min.

I see the beta millionaire male and the roissian ubermale middle-lower class alpha male as being equalized in terms of female options in a world of prolonged economic recession..

in other words the hypergamous female will have to skew more towards the monied rather than the biker/rocker in a world where money is scarce....women want to fvck the best looking guys but they also have to eat.

this is going to be a trend that plays out over years not something we see overnight

I've got to agree. The real wildcard in all of this though is women having jobs. Men are already pretty well decimated in the workforce with 1 in 5 never going to have a steady job in their lifetime. Women aren't nearly as bad off, but if they were I can guarantee you guys with a steady JOB would become the new alphas, whereas for the time being they're just the beta provider. One day I think it'll flip back around. Until then, have a nice job and all, but learn game and plow through those college chicks while you can. Once they get pumped & dumped and hit their 30s they'll be putty in your hands for a beta type with a good job. That's my plan. Screw all the young hotties while I can, and when I'm in my 40s and 50s slide the scale up by 10-20 years. I'm already playing with women 20-25 at 35 myself and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.
