Why most guys are afraid to talk to/pickup beautiful women

Here is a list of actual things guys should fear:

1)death
2)disease
3)injury
4)war
5)beautiful women

#5 doesnt make sense does it?

i dont know if this has hit anyone whos scared to go up to women and talk to them, but as men who follow logic, THIS FEAR IS ILLOGICAL AND SHOULD NOT BE THERE.

I want to know ONE good reason why most guys dont even bother to talk to even 10% of the beautiful women that they see on a daily basis, keeping what I had just said in mind.

if i'm in a bad mood i won't talk to anybody that's because i don't want my negativity rubbing off on anybody but if i'm in a good mood i will talk to everbody but i usually am a quiet guy that listens more than talk but i agree with you in my experience most good looking girls are cool but some are shallow and are mean *****es i guess it's those we men try to avoid

The fear is logical because we've been trained, much like pavlov's dog. The religious roots of our american society teach us that sexual drive and masculinity are sinful. The idea is reinforced by generations of people who have been raised this way.

BUT skip2mylou, you are absolutely right. Fear of women and sexuality isn't a natural state. you realize it to be the case after you start to de-train yourself. but shedding old habits and the view you've had of the world before becoming a DJ isn't an easy task.

Skip, you've got your vocabulary mixed up. Guys aren't 'afraid' to approach women. Guys have 'anxiety' when wanting to approach, and this causes them not to.


Being 'afraid' is really the wrong word to use. Many guys use this word, but its completely out of context. Anxiety is the correct word to use.

Alot of it is hinged on validation from external sources such as women. Because of this, it follows these processes:

-- The more insecure we are with the opposite sex, the more validation we seek from the opposite sex

-- The greater need for validation, the greater fear of rejection

-- The greater fear of rejection is inversly proportional to the amount of attraction for the object of affection

It's one hell of a vicious cycle and the only way out is to let your testosterone guide your masculinity in a controlled manner. When this starts happening, you are king.

Your logic is correct if you refeering to busting game on them, however, in long term relations, there IS an actual fear, and that is, the woman will always have to be happy and maintained ah high level of interest, unless you dont care that she cheats on you..

Hot women (especially in older years, such as me) most people are more at ease with comming up to women when they get older, and fact of the matter a hot woman will keep on getting hit on... So if you get in a fight, and she is on a conference in another state, staying in a business hotel, and some hot guy at the bar wants to join her, well.... WHY NOT?
