Master Don Juan
Those two drug studies are very typical; I've seen several. None of them really prove anything important. Yes, kids who go schizo later in life like to smoke pot. They use it to self-medicate. People who get brain tumors probably have headaches first and probably take aspirin before they know they have a tumor. Despite what is probably a very high correlation between aspirin and brain tumors, the aspirin has absolutely nothing to do with the cause of the tumor. It's the same for pot and schizophrenia, correlation exists, but that does nothing to prove causation, despite the typical sensationalist headline in whatever news article is discussing the study.
And brain "abnormalities" don't mean anything. If it has no impact on your life or health, who cares? Chronic smokers of chronic have different chemicals in their heads, different brain parts might be different sizes, so what? If you are not in pain, have no illness, and live just as long as anyone else, then none of this matters the slightest bit. It's just more government scare-tactics, because they can't find anything legitimately dangerous about pot.
