Basically, the media wants guys to kiss women's asses.
To buy them things, to take them out and spend money on them, to buy expensive cars to impress them, etc...
Now, I have nothing against making money and spending it, but the media has spent a lot of time and effort getting guys to buy into the myth that they need to "buy" women and to buy things to make themselves more desirable.
It keeps their business interests moving. Movies, flowers, restaurants, cars, diamonds, etc...
Then there is the whole subject of the media feminizing the modern male for a variety of reasons which have been covered on this and other forums.
On the flip side, the media sells women and image they must strive for, and impossible image but women will literally starve themselves, get dangerous plastic surgery, eat and throw up, etc...in order to attain this image.
Cosmetics, hair coloring, must have the latest clothes/fashions, etc...
Either gotta work for it or find some guy to spend the money on them.
Again, I'm a capitalist and proud of it, but I've had my eyes opened by the above named PUA's regarding the whole cycle of spending money on women deal and kissing their asses and why it's for suckers.
Go to a bar/club and see how many guys are buying girls drinks thinking it will get them laid.
Rarely does it happen, yet its a cliché that the media repeats over and over, just like bringing a girl flowers.
