I want to know why do guys ask the following:

Are you a virgin?
How many guys have you slept with?
How many boyfriends have you had?

And I am happy lying through my teeth, so what would be respectable response.

I usually give some really bizarre answers to these questions, but need to know what a respectable answer would be.

Tell them to read the DJ bible... If they did, they would know you aren't suppose to bring this sh1t up.. Really, just lie, girls are good liars. It doesn't matter what you say.

In general conversation, probably to find out how likely you are to **** them.

Or are we talking a dude you have already been dating for a while?

Or, are we talking the two of you already in bed together, clothes off, about to start going at it, and these questions start flying?

Can I ask, why not just be honest with them?

Anyways, personally, if I was with a woman of your age, and she said something like "I have had [5-10] boyfriends throughout my life, and each of these relationships lasted a couple years, and I never cheated on any of them, and they are the only men I've slept with" I would be damn impressed by what a good girl you are but still not feel like you're a boring prude since you have a valid and justifiable excuse for not sleeping around like a cheap *****. And if you're worried about coming across as an uptight good girl and losing the guy's interest... well, you're a woman, I'm sure you know 1,001 ways to let a dude know you might want to **** him.

And let me fire the same question back at you, as a woman what would you like to hear if you ever decide to ask this question? [Wait, women have no idea what they want...] Kidding, let me know what you think.

I honestly don't think that anything you could say would be a respectable answer. Fact of the matter is it really isn't any of their business. You have to question why they would even bother to ask in the first place.

I'll admit to asking this before. I really didn't care what the answer was. I already knew she was a lot more experienced than I am. I was just trying to get some of the stories she tells into some kind of context.
