Why do girls never introduce their bfs?

First off: I'm not entering these situations romantically. I just meet these girls, and then all of a sudden we decide to meet for food or whatever, and anytime there's a boyfriend they never introduce him. I strongly don't want to get into a relationship, and I get sex from other women who don't have a bf.

Anyways, so tonight, I went over to this girl's place because we were going to have dinner and talk, and she offered to cook dinner, so we didn't have to buy food.

I brought over wine, and we sat and talked about going to France together this December. There were like 10 or so people in there; she introduces everyone, even people she'd known for 30 minutes, and then about 10-15 minutes later this guy comes out of her room (apparently, he was sleeping). He plops down right in front of her on the coffee table (we were both sititng on the couch). She continues on not even talking to him or introducing him.

This is the 4th time straight; where girls just don't introduce their bfs. They'll introduce EVERYONE else, but they won't name, talk, or title the person who awkwardly sits in front of them staring.

The last time: a girl told me she had a boyfriend 4 months after we'd gone to the movies, shot pool, went out to eat. I was like oh, okay. I thought he was her cousin or something.

She said it happens for two reasons:
1. The girl knows you like her, and she doesn't want to break your heart.
2. The girl likes you and doesn't want to disqualify herself from being your target.

I stopped texting her after that haha, and then she sent me 5 more texts wondering where I went.
