Hah, I got rid of mine a month ago as well, though for entirely different reasons.
Spent far too much time on it, to the point where it was destroying my life. I love video games, but until I mature enough to use them in moderation, I can't have them in my life.

Video games are great, but they can take over time better spent doing other things. Plus there is no shortage of 360's out there and the prices are probably going to drop soon. The thing is that you want to focus on getting back on track.
I play a ton of video games, mainly because it's better than watching TV and I don't know what else to to with my time. I cook and play guitar, and am also getting into photography and a few other things, but these don't seem to take up much time.

I almost never play video games. The only thing I really play is an old Gameboy I picked up at a yard sale for a buck. It came with a few games too. If I'm waiting for something, I'll kill a bit of time with a round of Dr. Mario. Other than that, video games are too time-consuming. I'm better off doing something productive.

But - video games are good deal in terms of getting lots of entertainment for a cheap price

Cheaper and way smarter than buying drinks for girls - which no one on this board should do

I had a Commodore 64 when I was 12. I would say that I wasted a lot of my early teen years on it, but at least until I turned 16, I really had nothing better to do.
Video games are not necessarily evil, but guys who want to have a better social life or get laid more need to be careful of them. Unless you find a way to make your video game play a social thing, which is possible with effort, they will just waste away your life. At least books make you a more interesting person. No one cares about which video games you have beaten.

I waste like an hour or two a week playing. I've never been a big fan of games. Just do it when someone comes over to the house or a friend wants to play on Live.
I do love wasting some time with pacman or oregon trail on my phone during class.

My girlfriend is the sh*t at Tekken. She just bought Tekken 6 and I can't even touch her when she plays with 6 of the characters on the roster.
I take back what I said, MW2 is sh1t for PC too. I thought it was like COD:WAW where the console games had sh1tty 6v6 and no dedicated servers but they made the PC version of MW2 like that as well. 9v9 maximum players and no dedicated servers. The gameplay is still awesome but they ruined multiplayer with those 2 aspects. I'm not playing above 50 ping in an FPS, it's terrible.Alle_Gory said:
