I always feel great after a weekend of clubbing.

1. standing is good for your health: 2 or 3 hours a night of standing is definitely a plus.

2. dancing (exercise) is great for your health. You burn a lot of calories and it's low impact!

3. dancing, grinding, making out with girls and having sex with girls is great for your health!

4. walking from club to club can add up to a half hour or more of low impact exercise.

5. being in a social environment and talking to people is great for your social skills

6. the excitement of visual and auditory stimuli is great for your brain!

7. water and soda are free!

All you have to do is avoid the alcohol and maybe the late night fast food bender and you are good!

The negative I can see is hearing damage from the repeated exposure to a loud environment, but I won't lecture on that lol.

I agree with many of the positives listed though.

Obviously, in a club, you aren't "obligated" to drink because you aren't actually seated at a bar in most cases, so soda and water are just fine. But not to get off-topic, but, do you find that when going to a BAR (as opposed to a club), that the bar staff has an attitude when you don't drink? IME, some bar staff are polite and professional no matter what you order. Others are very rude/cold when you don't order an alcoholic beverage.

I order food if it's a bar and grill and/or tip them well even if I get a soda, but some are just priks if they aren't selling more expensive alcoholic beverages. You'd swear that they have a booze sales quota to meet.

Not a bad list, its true the cons are hearing damage and possibly getting in to a fight with some sloppy drunk. People need to look up Tinnitus (ringing in the ear) some people get this permanently from the exposure to loud noises and other things

It's a valid concern. Look up "musician's earplugs." You can get them custom made with excellent hearing protection.

Standard foam earplugs work well also, if you know how to use them properly.

Clubbing is for kids and grown kids. And thats coming from a 23 y old. Clubs are the most rotten and vile places. It was fun when I was 17, now I've figured I got better ways to spend my time. Dont get me wrong, Im one of these people who consumed a large amount of drugs and alcohol since the age of 14 Im not a decent guy and sadly I look and think like an older person.

And why would you even pick up girls there I cant even get turned on if I dont talk with the girl for a while and what do you do in the club - grinding on some drunk slut who is there for validation like a retard. If this is fun... I bet if someone tapes you on camera in the club and you watch it later you will cringe hard.

Fun for me is going to a bar with some friends for drinks. Fun for me is sitting on a bench just talking about ****. Fun for me is fishing. Fun for me is playing the guitar. **** even posting here is more fun than clubs. Sorry but clubs suck major **** and claiming they are healthy is BS. And avoid alcohol? WHats the point then?

I think clubs are terrible. As others stated, the music is so loud it hurts and makes it very difficult to hear the person standing next to you.

$8 cans of beer, women with the biggest ***** shields in the world, and a bunch of awkward guys standing around. Doesn't get any worse.

A good bar could be a step up, but nothing beat the house parties from 18-21 where we had no other place to go to have a drink.

Take it from someone that was on the club scene for 4 solid years i can promise you that it isn’t good for your health

1) I was getting laid but with proper club *****s and caught some very nasty STDs in the process

2) Your body is supposed to sleep at night no arguments, sleeping during the day destroys your circadian rhythm it will age you horribly and weaken your immune system

3) Very difficult not to drink alcohol in clubs and im sure i don’t need to go into the health aspects of binge drinking

4) Clubbing and everything that goes with it is an EXTREMELY expensive habit second to only gambling

5) Club chicks are bare and extremely fickle .....they care only about your status , car and money everything else is irrelevant

6) The hangovers will almost certainly control your life outside of the club

7) Making progress in the gym whilst on the club scene is virtually impossible

8) Your diet will almost certainly be 90% fast food

All in all it is a very UNHEALTHY way of life and I’m glad I’ve put it behind me i still like going out but once every 6 weeks is plenty for me , i have much more fulfilling things to get on with in life now

8. fist pumping in the club really works your traps

9. great source of stimulating and engaging intellectual conversation

10. if you play your cards right (ex. get girls into VIP), endless amounts of narcissistic supply

11. artificial club smoke helps expand lung capacity

No more keyboard jockeying . Action is the place.
I like bars with dance floors better. I love to dance, sober or not I'm always on the damn dance floor. Grab a chick and have some fun! But I used to club a lot at 18, hooked with girls but man that got old quickly. Clubs only blow.

If you're there as a designated driver, that's legit. If you're there to pick up chicks and just sip water, you're a freeloader lol.

Understood lol. I never just order water. I understand that it's a business. I try to order food if they serve it or at least a soda so that they have something to charge me for. When you are out alone, sometimes you have to be the designated driver for yourself.

clubbing is HORRIBLE for your health. That being said people in their 20s should club, its a cool thing to look back on and clubbing is definitely fun, especially in Taipei .. anyways I always club when I head back to the States and its fun when done in moderation

I hate when people say walking is an exercise. If walking is an exercise for you and you aren't 80 y/o then you need to get your ass up and do something. I'm out of shape right now and I'm still able to go past 100 on the pacer test (beep test in other states?). Yes, while I'm out of shape.
Honestly, that adrenaline pumping is probably good for you every so often, but your body will get exhausted after a while. Moderation is good. But as for getting exercise, you're better off at a gym or sewhere else honestly.
