Why aren't girls funny?

That's one of the many reasons I love my missus. She never tried to do the whole sultry, demure, sexy thing with me, and she was always game to do something crazy, or hilarious. Even laughing at her own expense, which I find VERY rare in anyone these days..

Whenever we just chill out on the couch or in front of a movie, we end up rolling about with laughter half the time. And the other half, we're rolling about for anotehr reason.

People only develope some personality traits out of necessity. Hence, this is why some guys develope a sense of humor simply as a defense mechanism.

Most women don't have the need to fully develope a sense of humor b/c it really doesn't play a large role in attracting men like other personality traits do. They instead focus their time developing other personality traits that will attract men (flirting, posture, etc.).

Wow, I've always thought that, and thought I was sexist for never laughing at female comedians.​

I've found a few girls funny, but they would be very corny by male standards. Girls in general are pretty boring if you think about it. A lot of girls like to hang out with 'the guys' once in a while when they're bored because of the fun we provide....​

I think it has a lot to do with dominance and decision making. If the guy is quick witted enough to think of a clever humorous comment, then he's obviously not retarded and he obviously should be a decisive person in all areas. To women humor = intelligence.

But it doesnt say much because humor is measured by those that find it appealing. Whether it may be friends or a girl that laughs cause she digs you.

It has a lot to do with the separate communication barriers between women and women vs men and men. Women communicate like drones, they go into every little detail of their boring day, down to what they had for lunch.

Guys on the other hand are natural born leaders for the reason they can pull in crowds - they can tell stories by being convincing even with a hint of exaggeration, they can charm people (women), they can exite people, they can make them laugh or cry.

How often do you see women do that? being the center of attention in a room...with the exception of an all-woman man hating group.

i think lesbos are funny, but maybe because they like the same sex as we do. i started a new job and to my surprise my trainer was a cute 9 lesbo. we talked about how foolish are women were and this chicks sense of humor was of the scale. she wasn't a manhater like some of the lesbos out there. but i think lesbians are really funny. i agree that hot chicks aren't funny at all.

i'm notorious for my wit and am naturally funny. But I still can't help but wonder if I didn't develop some humor to compensate for people not liking me otherwise.

Let me state for the record, I've known and dated some very witty women. But men are still, on the whole, funnier.

Humour often needs a victim to work. Cruel and mean is funny. If a woman uses humour like this she risks being called a *****. Most female stand-ups have to play the ***** to get laughs, because it's less socially acceptable to be pointing and laughing if you're a 'good girl.'

Thus they rarely get enough practice in to develop beyond the 'it's funny because she got caught by her boss' level of humour you see in chick-flicks or Friends.

Go to any women's website and see what passes for amusing. A story about a kitten in a toilet or something. Hilarious.
