Aye... It's all-consuming to some people, and all they revolve their entire lives around. I've known women who just wanted to stay hot by any means necessary. It's all they had; the only thing that mattered to them. They did not want to lose it.
These girls were also horribly insecure and had low self-esteem, which is a classic trademark of a barbie. They will do anything to be accepted, and have no self-respect. That's why they dress like hookers, paint their face with make-up, get implants, attention *****, sleep around, etc. They just want to be hot and popular, and will become anything to be accepted by their peers - including being fake, stuck up, shallow, snobby *****es. A lot of these girls were plain and nice at one point, but it didn't work to become popular and get the hot guys.
It's sad, and some people never snap out of it. For others, its just a phase. The lifestyle they lead is very shallow and meaningless. Some learn that its not all its cracked up to be. Everyone at least wants to know what its like to be cool and popular at one point. Some people just take it too far, and continue on being shallow and worthless forever. Mostly the ones who are pretending in the first place. They're empty, and have nothing else.
This is also why a lot of these hot, popular girls get with jerks. They're hot, and want their approval. Even if they treat them like **** - hey, at least they're being accepted by them. Now they're cool and can show off to their friends. They can get hot guys and act like ****s, too!
Bah. Again, these people are a waste of time, and so is their lifestyle. I was involved in it for a while, and couldn't take the shallowness and stupidity anymore. These people are nothing. Completely fake and insecure. The guys are douche bags, and the girls are retarded. They're all the same, which is why they're attracted to each other. It's all just a big contest to see who's the hottest, has the best of everything, gets hit on the most, has the most sex... They're all idiots who try to one-up one another in the most superficial ways imaginable. "I have more STD's than you!" They also ***** about everything in their shallow lives, cause problems and drama wherever they go, and should be shot in the face repeatedly.
As snobby, ****y, disrespectful, *****y, stuck up, and rude as they are - they cannot accept any kind of criticism or rejection, either. They must always be wanted, accepted, pined after, and better than everyone else. Only they can do the insulting and rejecting. They have no self-esteem, and make up for it by having huge egos. It's the only thing they have, and it needs to be fueled constantly.
It's all a facade, anyway. These people are horribly, horribly insecure, and desperate to be accepted - despite acting like they don't care, and are too good for everyone. It's just an act. They become incredibly defensive and insecure at the smallest comments towards them - which is why they try to keep the focus off them, and on everyone else instead. They do the criticizing, demanding, and belittling before it can happen to them. Cowards.
