The problem is not the emotion itself... it's how one handle this emotions.

Most men today are searching for the final dot in their lives, the thing that ends their pain and put security on their lives. Pretty much like chicks would do: 100% pure nonsense. So they get fragile, weak, and AFC. But oh, that's a different world and I'm sure no one on this forum have EVER passed through this, LOL :D

To illustrate, I have a quote of a quote, lol.

Better would be than the guy said FVCK YOU, YOU SUNOVA***** CVNT (emotional anyways) and go find another girl. At least he would keep his self-respect.

How many times has people on this forum said, men are logical, women are emotional?

Well, time to see some of that logic. If a woman dumps you, how will crying help? Life goes on, the world revolves around the sun, a million people die in Africa. Your life hasn't changed, you've just lost connection with someone. Make a new connection.

It's like when your computer's cd drive fails and you can't repair it. You don't cry, you buy a new cd drive.

I guess for a man that doesnt know any better and who thinks scoring with chicks is "luck" or whatever, then being dumped and losing that perceived "once in a lifetime" thing is devastating for them.

They simply dont know any better.

There's a fundamental difference here. To have emotions is fine. But women are attracted to strong men. Being physically and mentally strong would entail having CONTROL over your emotions. Women want a strong man to rely on.

Jesus, I mean what if a city descended into chaos, everything is going wrong and some girls ***** boyfriend starts to whimper uncontrollably. Or a deranged person points a gun at the family. Coward men would whimper and shake, REAL mean would keep their family feeling comfortable. Ya that would make some great genetic material. Wimps who can't survive. Then there's men who would remain cool, be logical and know what to do.

They used to tell men "dont cry" for a reason. Then all of a sudden, "men need to share their feelings" BS!

I'm very emotional, have been since I was a kid. I don't know where it comes from, my father is a strong figure and a powerful presence. I don't know where this comes from.

I've cried at movies, at moving songs, at sad news stories. I fuc*kin hate being like this. I feel things very deeply, all ranges of emotions. I don't understand why and I have a hard time controlling it at times. Honestly this torments me. I do everything I can to control it and put on a stone grill, regardless of how I feel.

Only recently, while sitting on a bus, I saw a man crying.

Not just a few tears, but the whole waterworks. Sobbing. According to the passenger next to me, the guy was crying about being dumped over the mobile phone.

I started wondering, when has it become ok for guys to express emotions? What happened to a thousand years of social conditioning, where men had to stand stoic in the face of danger, grief, and fear, without a hint of expression?

Maybe we should have an emotion free day (like national day), where we celebrate without excessive emotions.
In my book...crying in public (public = front of stranger OR near a group of people) is only acceptable if you are dealing with the lost of a love one. And of course, tears of joy at the birth of your child (if you happen to be in the same wrong when the baby comes out) MIGHT be acceptable.

Other than that? No acceptable.
