it's a cycle that's killing it for everyone!

the media portrays men badly > men think they shouldn't be dominant / " men" any more > feminist spout there sh!t > women think they are the sh!t > women want a guy to be dominant > men don't be men, they do what the media tells them cos they know no better> nobody gets anywhere in dating and relationships >

and the cycle repeats it's self over and over.

i used to think this way all the time when I was a kid. i used to have a girl back in highschool who i used to hook up with all the time. only because " she let me" . i never " manned up" and took the lead. was i was scared too.

I think it has alot to do with pop culture and advertising in general. The world is turning into a subliminal advertising machine and getting worse every day. We are constantly taught that we need this or that to be cool and accepted. This happens in commercials, in music videos, in basically any form of media it's all about what you have.

So what happens when a woman looks at a man? She checks his general health and appearance, if that 2 minute test passes then it's all about his car, or his job, or his money, or even just his social stature. Men have always wanted just a pretty girl by their side. But for women, men are kind of packaged into a product to be compared to others on the basis of what he can do for her. Oh and if that "love" connection can happen after all those factors have been weighed in... cool but it's definitely not a requirement. Heck there have even been stories of women falling in love with their kidnappers! Enough time with someone women develop feelings for them.

If a woman talks about supporting a man even temporarily it's considered an abhorrence with a ditch that looser attitude prevalent. Women regularly use sexual suggestion to get what they want from men since the beginning of time. Even just giving a guy something as innocent as puppy dog eyes carries a sexual suggestion to him. A very one sided feminist attitude there, and who doesn't want the good without the bad? Aww but women deserve it because they are weaker right? That's not what the feminist movement is about! It's about equality, not about just getting more in general.

So what happens now? Men engage in a battle of perceived value with women. A woman will always see her value as higher than a guy in the exact same position due to her marketability. So it's his job to convince her that he is better than she is and as such should be followed because he might be her ticket to a good future. And all this has to happen while trying to defeat more cultural standards of men being pervs, potential rapists, stupid, moneybags.

All of this is in contrast to just people liking each other because of their personalities and interests. Sure it happens all the time, but when you are in a social/drinking/faster/big city atmosphere where rationality is compromised to make way for the norm we turn into primitive animals trying to establish our dominance over each other in subtle ways to gain followers or pack mates and as such bed mates also.

Perhaps there is also something in the theory that the male Y chromosome is eroding.

Females are XX and guys are XY, but over the millions of years of evolution the Y chromosome has been eroding.

Origionally the X and Y chromosomes were the same size whereas today the Y chromosome contains less than 30 genes to the 800 of the X chromosome.

It would make sense for some of the more manly traits to dissapear with it and be replaced with more feminine traits

ie lack of confidence and wanting females to do the approaching etc.

I wasnt asking for a link to bash what you said, but that theory just simply fails to explain why women start to behave as men while men stop to behave as men.

If women are XX and men are XY, given what previously said the eroding of the cromosome Y should be responsbile of changes only in males while females would not be influenced from it.

TWO: strong alpha males are a threat to the dominant power structures of banks and state so men are turned into sissified ineffectual pansies who play diablo 3 all day...or else sent off to war where their alphaness can be used to the profit of the military industrial complex
