Hey everyone, this is my first post and I need some advice on attracting a prom date.
A little info about me: I am about a high 6/low 7 on looks. Team Captain on my school's lacrosse team. Eagle Scout. Got into the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs. Valedictorian. Ok socially, but I never really got the whole women thing down. I am probably Roissy's classic, All-American beta male.
Here is my situation: I asked this girl to prom today (she is about a 7) and she was pretty flaky on her answer. I ended up waiting the whole day for her to tell me "no." The real b*tch was that her "reason" for saying no is that she wanted to ask one of my friends to prom (my friend happens to be in a happy relationship and is already going to prom with another chick). She was really "nice" about it, in the "I am lying out my teeth and we both knows it" sort of way.
I have a couple of options. One, I could ask another girl at my school (my school is only 240 students, and my class is only 49). I feel like it could be socially detrimental if I am rejected by more than one or two girls.
Two, I have a girl on call (she is only a low 4). I could basically have drop in for prom (although I don't really want her to drop in for some other reasons).
Three, I have a girl in town (college freshman, 6) who I have had a generally good relationship with, but haven't made any moves on in a couple of months. I would likely be able to take her as a friend.
Four, I can take my prom date from last year (a low 6, and drugs are making her worse every day).
Five, go stag (least likely).
If you managed to get through all of that, please post any thoughts/suggestions.
