Nowadays, she's going to get a look at your ID, Google about you, check you out thru friends, etc. Why should she risk involvement with the typical flake? Any woman who would do so is not worth MY time, certainly. When I spent months online with my Filipina, sent her a bit of money, then spent $1000 to fly there, 4k to lived there with her for 6 months (while we waited on her visa), and then 3k to get us both back here to US, she knew damned well that I was serious about her. I also gave her 2k for the risk of coming here with me, leaving behind her job, etc.

Do you not worry about hypergamy? What if she finds a better deal. Women from all cultures are basically the same, money, status, power. If she's marrying up, things are great, unless a better deal comes in. It's still the same game.... and needs to be played - you just start with a better start hand
