DJ BIBLE: IMPERATIVE FOR NEWBS, USELESS FOR NIGHT GAME
"I'm sorry to say it, but most of the info in the Bible is wildly lacking. The stuff on conversation is tremendously lame."
--Bob, this is sadly where I have to agree. The DJBC in particular can put you into a monotonous 'twenty questions' mode which can be very draining, especially when combined with Gunwitch's motto of never ejecting (at least until the 'ho' as he puts it, says 'no.'). Sometimes, I don't feel like interviewing a girl. Sure, if her interest level is high, she'll start to qualify herself; otherwise, it puts the burden on the male to constantly keep the ball rolling. Try STOPPING the conversation to see what happens. Turn your back to her occasionally. (These are called takeaways, btw).
In fact, MM and Style recommend that you not ask questions (at least not all the time), but intrigue targets by offering them 'chick crack.' That is, give them an excuse to play games of the type that intrigue girls: personality tests, cold reads, that sort of thing. Also, frame your comments so that she offers to give you her number rather than being so blunt: "gimme ya number...".
CONCLUSION:
DJBC: great for getting your feet wet.
MM, and to a lesser extent RSD: you better study these schools if you want to have ANY success at all with night game and two+ sets. And let me tell ya, ALL night sets are at least two sets. Forget about 'lone wolf' approaches at night venues, they just don't exist. Gunwitch has a post on club/bar/nightgame. It's better than nothing, but terribly inadequate.
