I'll admit that a couple of times I've slept with chicks I didn't find particularly attractive.

Why? First of all, they were clearly going after me and it was easy. Plus i was a long way from home and I knew the story wouldn't get back.

Philip Roth once said that ugly girls are the best because they'll do whatever you want them to. He's right. While I'd never parade these chicks around town they were perfect 'practice girls' for me to try out new sexual techniques, build up my stamina etc. They were so grateful to be fvcked that I got whatever kind of sex i wanted whenever I wanted it. I think the OP was referring to women that would be below average or ugly to the majority, i.e. most of the girls you see on myspace with body angle pics or butt ugly faces. And the answer is, some guys settle. I've seen plenty of decent to really good looking guys with below average girls (4 or below to most guys). They either 1.)Go for personality. 2.)Don't think of themselves as good looking and don't think they can do better. 3.)Have had HBs and want a low-maintenance girl without the drama who will look up to them and be grateful that they have a hot bf. And obviously 4.)Guys that are ugly/average themselves that either settle or have bad taste.

I like your four points. However, I think there is one more to add. Think of this scenario.

Man meets an attractive looking 25 year old and they get married. Fast Forward to 7 years later. THe man is still rather good-looking, but the woman has gained 70 lbs after popping out two kids and hasn't helped herself to lose the weight.

This is the only explanation I can think of when I see couples in their 30's where the guy is thin and decent looking and the woman is fat. She probably did not look like that when they met.

I guess after awhile, the personality becomes more important.

I also noticed something wierd when observing couples that check into my hotel.

You see a decent amount of good-looking guys with girls uglier than them, but the "average at best" guys have cute girlfriends. It is the wierdest thing....

Being a tall, decent looking guy myself...I can't go out with anything less than a 6...especially since I see so many guys I am better looking than with cute girls.

The closest I ever got to having sex with her was the both of us on her bed I was wearing boxers and she was only wearing boyshorts. Not once did I try to take her shorts off or feel her down there. The thought of seeing her fat ass disgusted me. I could have fucked if I wanted to. Even though I was horny I just didn't want to have sex with her.

We broke up shortly after and I decided to never settle for a girl that was below my standards again.

My theory is, you shouldn't settle for anything 2 points lower than the highest girl you can get.

I don't think I can get nor would I feel secure with a HB 9/10 and I think the HB8 is the best I can do (based on my own physical appearance)
