Underdeveloped countries produce underdeveloped people.DonGorgon said:women from countries with the least capitalism..
I'm thinking that better wife material comes from countries where divorce and abortion are illegal, and where contraception is still thought of as something that only bad people do.
EDIT I googled around. Abortion rates seem to follow contraception rates. Low contraception rates correlate fairly well with low divorce rates and longer marriages.
Poland has an unusually low 19% rate of contraception by "modern methods" (chemical / physical). Half of that is with rubbers, so the man at least has some say in it. Slovakia, Ukraine, and Italy also have low rates of "modern methods" and high rates of natural methods (withdrawal and rhythm). Poland and Italy also have low rates of IUD use.
Divorce is illegal in the Philippines. But in a country so poor that many smokers buy cigarettes one at a time, and where they're shocked that Americans are so gluttonous as to buy cigs by the carton, women throw away the household money on the pill at a rate almost as high as in the US. Just goes to show that you can't stop them from cheating through the courts and the church.
Mexico and El Salvador have higher rates of total sterilization of women than the US. Guatemala has half that, but it's still much higher than Poland, Slovakia, etc. So much for finding a wife among Los Angeles immigrants. Besides, I find that Latin American immigrant women tend to be just as feminist as US-born women. They cut their hair short and wear pants all the time.
