So, I'm sure some of you might remember me from asking where to go in NY while getting a wide range of answers that were largely kept on the hush-hush.

I come to you all once again for recommendations on where I might go in Florida or Arizona to have a good time.

For context, my birthday is coming up at the end of April and I hadn't put much thought into what I'd want to do. I'm a simple guy...on my birthday I just want to get drunk and get laid (preferably by a hot chick).

To that effect, Arizona and Florida are places I've often thought about ending up. I very much dislike how boring Delaware is, and I'm really not a fan of big, congested cities. I learned I like beaches and warm, sunny places; people are often in better shape since they're wearing less clothing year-round, and there's lots of water - either by way of the ocean or by basically being required to own a pool.

I've been to Florida a few times, but I know nothing about Arizona. Thought I'd ask here to see what you guys recommend for getting a feel for the area to see if I'd want to live there, while also checking off my birthday wishes.

It's really a choice between extreme dry weather or extreme humidity.
It all depends on what your body can tolerate.

There is a thread on this board about Arizona's largest metropolitan area, which is Phoenix.

The thread is more written from the perspective of someone living in Phoenix try to mate in Phoenix. It also has a good assessment of what daily life would be like in Phoenix.

In short, I wouldn't recommend living in Phoenix. It's a tough mating environment and employment options are weak for an area of its size unless you work in a medical-related job. It can be fair to say that Phoenix is a better area for a short vacation than living there day-to-day, and the same can be said for Tucson.

About 80% of Arizona lives in either the Phoenix or Tucson metropolitan areas. Phoenix and Tucson are lower elevation desert parts of the state with scarce water and hot temperatures. Tucson is typically around 5 degrees less warm than Phoenix at a given time, but Tucson is still hot. Going to either after April 15 isn't going to be all that good. The daytime high temperatures are around the high 80s/low 90s already in Tucson and Phoenix by then. Earlier mornings will be more pleasant. That can affect some of the outdoor recreation in those areas.

It's unfortunate that you don't seem interested in sightseeing, because late April and early May are great times to go to higher elevation Northern Arizona and avoid the crowds. The weather is temperate then and it's pre-summer, so you're avoiding the worst of tourist seasons. Sedona, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon are near perfect during these times. A lot of activities in those areas are more couples conducive. There's some great sightseeing there, but a solo male or groups of males are typically interested in that. It wouldn't be feasible or all that enjoyable to do a guy's trip to the Northern Arizona scenic areas. That's a good trip with a girlfriend.

Phoenix or Tucson might be more tolerable for a week in late April/early May, but the relentless heat for 5-6 months of the year every year gets annoying fast.

Phoenix has better nightlife than Tucson. The main areas of nightlife in Metro Phoenix are actually in suburbs, which is different than most cities. Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe (near Arizona State, mainly Mill Avenue) are your best bets for nightlife. A lot of Tempe's scene is based around the college, and I think you'd be getting there right before final exams. Old Town Scottsdale is less centered around college, but it's more geared to 22-32 year old post-college graduate women living a bigger city lifestyle. Most of the Old Town Scottsdale women will be more bougie White women with bachelor's degrees or higher. The women in Old Town Scottsdale bars are very pretentious and will be seeking top tier men. Good looking women, often really bad attitudes. If you think you can compete in that sort of environment, try your luck. A lot of men don't have good experiences in Old Town bars if they are not close to the "Chad" standard. Being a male 6.5-7.5 on looks (which is decent), isn't going to cut it in most of the Old Town bars unless you can flash some cash. Phoenix itself has some good nightlife spots in areas closer to Downtown and the advantage with Phoenix nightlife as compared to Old Town Scottsdale is that the women won't be as pretentious or demanding, but you're sacrificing a little bit on looks in many cases. There are still cute women in Phoenix bars, but the most attractive, 20 something, 8+ on looks women in nightlife are more likely to be in Old Town Scottsdale.

Tucson's nightlife is more subdued than Phoenix's. There's 4th Avenue, near University of Arizona. Outside of the University of Arizona realm, Tucson has some scattered nightlife venues that appeal to post-college people or people in their 20s-30s that didn't attend college. If nightlife is the focus, go to Phoenix. Because Tucson is more subdued, you'd have a better time in Tucson if you wanted to visit Saguaro National Park, do hiking in Sabino Canyon, and maybe occasionally go out.

Arizona State U has a lot of sexy coeds.
So I've heard, that's part of the allure compared to places like Miami which I imagine are comparable, with Florida being more expensive to live and go out in, along with a hefty Spanish culture from what I've read.

Think I'd prefer dry weather. Humidity is a pain because I sweat pretty easily and end up feeling gross. I imagine the humid one is Miami and the dry one is Arizona.

Sightseeing isn't something I'm particularly interested in, no matter where I go. I'd rather do things than see things, and in the case of celebrating my birthday, I'd just want to relax, have some drinks, and be around some pretty women.

Based on what you've written here, it seems like Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe would be more in-line with what I'm looking for, correct? Despite the fact that it wouldn't give me the best depiction of what living in Arizona would be like, do I have that right?

Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe are your best options for flying in as a non-local and getting a one night stand if you're close to "Chad" material. Tempe is a little less competitive and less pretentious scene than Old Town Scottsdale, but it's also a bit younger scene. You're 28 now, which would be on the older side for Tempe. Remember that a lot of Tempe nightlife is centered around Arizona State, though some recent graduates (under 26 males) can pull off being at Tempe's bars and not be out of place.

A 28 year old guy is better for the Old Town Scottsdale crowd since that's more of post college by a few years. For women, 21-22 year olds are more in Tempe than Scottsdale if they're still juniors and seniors at Arizona State. By about 24-25, college graduate women tend to be more in Old Town Scottsdale.

Most of Old Town Scottsdale's nightlife is a little more sophisticated than Tempe's, though there are some dive-ish places in Old Town that have been around since the 1950s-1970s, before Scottsdale tried to go more sophisticated.

If you were a Phoenix area local, it likely wouldn't be the best strategy to center your life around finding dates at Old Town or Mill Avenue bars in Tempe. You'd probably want to be more focused on non-bar venues for finding longer term relationships. You might mix in bars in Central/East Phoenix instead of Old Town Scottsdale/Tempe if you were a local.

Arizona doesn't have coastline.
Lake Havasu can feel like coastline and Puerto Penasco (commonly called Rocky Point) is only 1 hour from the Mexican border out in a remote part of the state. Puerto Penasco is on the Gulf of California. Puerto Penasco is the closest actual beach location to Phoenix or Tucson. It is also a popular Spring Break destination for Arizona State University and University of Arizona students. Do an internet search on Puerto Penasco if you're interested.

in the case of celebrating my birthday, I'd just want to relax, have some drinks, and be around some pretty women.
Trying to get my penis wet with strangers in a new city isn't a relaxing vacation. I like having sex on vacation. Sex on vacation is more relaxing when you know you're actually going to have sex on the vacation. There's a high probability of not getting sex when trying to seduce strangers.

I’ve mostly gone to AZ & FL as a tourist. Rather than specifically looking to meet women. That just happens organically. AZ is an amazing wonderland of spectacular natural scenery. Outdoor activities and a nice mix of Native American, cowboy & Hispanic culture. Highlights would be The Grand Canyon. Sedona. Phoenix/Scotsdale. Tuscon. Saguaro. Jerome. Organ Pipe Cactus. Navajo & Hopi. Lake Powell. some great BBQ. Indian Fry Bread. lots of hot sauces. Whiskey & beer.
FL, has great outdoor activities. Evergladres. Beaches. Keys. Biscayne. Dry Tortugas. Beautiful people & unparalleled nightlife in South Beach. Cities such as Miami. Miami Beach. Ft. Lauderdale. St. Augesine. Panama Beach and. of course Key West. Check out Jai Ali. Great food like Key Lime Pie. Seafood, Mojitos & Cuban food.

Have Fun!!!

I don't mind it, because having drinks and trying to get laid usually go hand in hand.

Plus, seeing as I have no network out there, it would be a lot easier to KNOW I'm getting laid if I go lay some groundwork.

That won't be accomplished in Phoenix in one week. That's impossible.

If you're really concerned about having a social network, move to Philadelphia. Philadelphia is close to Delaware. There are likely many ex-Delaware people in Philadelphia and you'd have a stronger network in Philadelphia. It would take years in Phoenix to achieve a social network similar to what you could have in Philadelphia on Day 1. It's unlikely that you'd ever get into the best social networks in Phoenix as a transplanted adult arriving there near age 30. That's not specific to Phoenix either, that's something that happens with a lot of late 20s and beyond transplanted adults.

Moving to a city as a transplanted adult with no social network and unattached makes mating far more difficult. The transplanted male adults that follow that path are then dependent upon in-person approaching or swipe apps, which are more difficult.

I live in Arizona close to Scottsdale and I love it. Old Town Scottsdale is a little harder to game but I still do it. I prefer Tempe (Mill Ave). I feel like it’s easier to game and I’ve had more success there then Old Town. I’m 41 but I look like I’m 30. I’ve had no issues pulling younger women in there 20s.

The only thing I dislike about AZ is the summer temperatures but you get used to it once you have went through a couple summers. I grew up in the midwest and I would take this weather anyday over the weather where I used to live.

I've been to Florida a couple of times. I've been told by some West Palm Beach is even better than Miami, and when I went there it was nice. I was under 21 at the time though.

I just watched a YouTube Livestream about a pickup competition in Miami; Rosa Sky was mentioned a lot, some girls were very excited to go to that spot. Other girls said Sugar was better.

It’s a reference to a country song by George Strait. Just seeing who catches it.
I thought it was a reference to selling people the Brooklyn bridge. Oceanfront property in the desert is a similar idiom/joke.

I was once in Phoenix for about half a year, and the high temps didn't go down to double digits until like Oct 18. That said, once the cold fronts started coming, it was quite pleasant.

Early to mid-October is typical for when Phoenix gets to a reasonable temperature. That would typically be more like daytime highs around 90 degrees.

I was in Yuma recently. It was not something I'd recommend for long-term living or to get stationed there. It had skydiving opportunities, plenty of taco spots and a big RV'ing campground area, most of which is great for old people with issues with their bones. A couple of weeks before that, I did a solo trip to Tallahassee-Panama City Beach-Pensacola in the panhandle. The days of spring breakers jumping off of hotel balconies into pools and/or onto other balconies are long gone, you'll be sitting in a Bay County jail cell within minutes. That's the only area of FL I've never been to in all of my years growing up on the First Coast and also living in north central FL. The panhandle was a shock to me as the temperatures get down to as low as 28 degrees in winter and the fact that central time zone starts about 20 miles west of Tallahassee and down in Mexico Beach/anything west of there on the Gulf is all central time.
