2nd. I was refering to the fact that the technology we have today in no way will advance that much in the next 10 years. Unless theres a huge breakthrough in the field of science the chances that we'll master hovering objects in 10 years is slim to none. Usually the military is the first to aquire the product then it is made mainsteam by the populus with 5-10 years. And since I don't see and floating tanks, it's unlikely that this product will be made.

I'm currently waiting for our space military. Back in middle school I read the military was hoping that by the year 2010 they would be having space battles (with lasers and maybe missles) using small fighter jet like space ships. They made no mention of space cruisers or destoyers (which is what I really want to see). However since then I have not heard a thing about these space bound military war machines. Maybe I'll at least get to go into space within my lifetime.

The US actually has a Space-Command and a Space-Battalion.

I was watching dateline NBC and Nasa has created a high traffic radar guidence system for personal flying transport. There are several companies who are quickly developing "flying cars". well they're really not cars but they're flying machines that are easy to operate and don't require a lot of gas. The most promising one was a type of helicopter and it'll retail for about 50K.

There probably won't be a "hover board" as it defies teh laws of physics (i'm sure you already knew that)

Fortunately though there's this

I'm actually a rep for them, I've had one for going on two years now and it's probably as close to a hover board as you'll come.
If you decide to buy one you should put in my discount number, it'll save you like 300 bones
Discount number: bui-003

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

i think giovanni handled my reply pretty well.. so i won't bother dragging this out.
is it really that important to write out "you'll" i realise it doesn't take a whole lot longer, and in alot of posts i will naturally type "you'll" out.. sometimes i won't.. i can't be bothered checking each time incase the grammer police are going to be on my back.

I actually saw a show where they used that bushpig thing. Looked pretty neat, just not my thing.

As for defying physics. That's not "necasarily" true. Sure it's impossible for anything to "float" in a given spot, however we have recently come to some understandings about what einstein refered to as "Dark Energy" Which is essentiall a force that counteracts gravity. Now we just need to understand how that works and maybe we can utilize it :science:

Or theres the ever complicated field of magnetics.

I mean hell, we didn't know anything about radio waves up untill less then 2 centuries ago, what makes the idea of harnessing gravity so much different?

You didn't prove the point I was trying to make. All those things existed for 10 years at least. And All those things started as government products. And I still don't see my hovering tank

Skateboards have existed for a lot longer than 10 years. And the point is that technology is FLYING. Things that were cutting edge ten years ago are worthless pieces of junk now, while things that we take for granted today weren't even really dreamed of back then.

Not all technology is developed by the government, either. A lot of it is, but not all of it.
