I really had not planned to make any posts today but this post jumped out, mainly because i just got back from England 2 days ago visiting my wife's people. They live in Kent. I won't call myself lucky I don't believe in luck especially when it comes to women but I got a good one. Wahtever entitlement issues she might have had beucase she is very pretty her dad worked that **** out of her lol. The irony is when it comes to British women or UK women in general, the hot ones, the really hot ones, seem to know their value and leave to go to other places in the world where they will be more desired. You won't find an ugly brit in LA. Nor will you find them with ugly dudes or dudes that aren't catches. NOt because they are white or British but they are more exotic here than they are there thus worth more If that makes sense.
We were in London for 2 days and I felt like I was back at home in little rock. About the same amount of talent.
As far as your Original post and what really got me to respond is you touched on one of my fav historical subjects outside of american presidents and that's the Tudors lol. NOt beucase of the TV show (which is quite good) but because of the different characters and personalities each had and how unique they all were.
First, you have to put Queen Elizebeth's issue of "servitue" or chasity or at least alledged chasity into question, it wasn't beucase she did not long for a man, she most likely had her master of horses wife killed, a man who she had a life time "planatonic" love affiar with, she did not marry because she knew that if she were to marry she would be forced to produce an heir and if she produced an heir thre would be power plays to her throne against her since she was a woman and sense she was old. keep in mind she had to endure her own mother being beheaded for no other real reason than her husband was tired of her.
But I offer you this; my wife and I talk about this often or often enough and I believe that Queen Elizebeth and her half sister, Queen Mary are two of the most interesting women in history because neither turned out to be what they were supposed to be. In today's time, Mary would be the HB8.5 who comes from the best familes around, the girl who you would not treat badly because she was different, so innocent so pure, so everything. she was a rockstar in England her entire life lol at least the first 37 years of it. 3 of her 4 grand parents were kings or queens.. King Henry the 7th, Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand. Her mother the great Katherine of Aarogon, her father the most charismatic king of their time and probably of the last millennium anywhere. Not only did half the people 9in England want her to be the first queen of england, just about every other country in Europe supported her to be the queen **** she was holy roman emperors cousin.
Her sister on the other hand, Elizebeth Tudor, was never supposed to be queen. Her mom was beheaded whens he was 2, she wasn't particularly pretty, her older sister hated her for no other reason than she existed, she was never treated like real royalty for any real extended period of time, someone was always trying to claim her to be illigmentate and for a long time she was in fear of her life. Oh and unlike her sister she was prostent at a time when being such meant your life.
But she had a traint that could not be denied; she was brilliant. Not to say that Mary wasn't smart, but she had been to sheleted her entire life to have any real practical knowledge of anything. She rode the Cathlotic bandwagon all the way tot he throne. Elizebeth on the other hand was easily the smartest of all three of King Henry's kids, she excelled in everything she did, and by the time she was a grown woman she had a practical knowlege of how to survive and of hte world that neither of her siblings or counterparts had.
Queen mary would go on to be better known as bloody Mary for killing anyone who even thought about being protestant and killing anyone who had to do with her mother being divorced.. and if it weren ot for fear of a riot she would have killed her own sister without thinking twice about it. She rulled for 5 years and by the end of her life she was fanatical, she was faking pregnancies to get attention and is pretty much the reason why everyone flocvked to the protestant religion. QE would take the throne and rule from the time she was 25 until she was 69. she outwitted everyone in court, never named an heir, never got married, there was peace for the most part int he country for the first time in a long time.
I say all that to say that it makes you or at least me, what do we look for in a woman, or what should we look for in a woman. QE wasn't just ass ugly but she wasn't someone who if she wasn't the queen would have guys flocking to her. Mary was on the other hand, beautiful. at least until she got older.
I guess what I am trying to say, queens, like kings, are made, not born. Too many guys go looking for queens in the baby shop or in the wrong places. I am not saying that a woman has to put men off like guys put women off, but i want a woman that has lived a little life, outside of being homecoming queen and college frat parties. My wife before i met her had lived in 3 continents.
