Explain this.

Been seeing a girl for a couple of weeks. She does most of the iniating and asking me out. I text maybe once, twice a day. (I'm not a big texter).

Took her out the other night - she was all over me. We were snogging, slapping each other, holding hands which I would break, really teasing her. Both sober btw. Never seen a girl smile so much. I would push her away and then take her home.

She's texting me the next day saying she had a great time last night. Asking what I'm up to etc. Going well it seems.

I text her the next day saying cool, let's meet later this week. I keep it as brief as possible.

Her reply - Hey, I'm going to give it a miss. Your a great guy but I don't feel a spark with you. So sorry. Goodbye.

WTF! Think this is the first time I had a response like this. I guess I shouldn't assume the date went well even if I thought it did.

Does anyone think it's a good idea to hold hands after a couple of dates? Thought I was showing some good leading. May of backfired. Anyways, spin more plates.

The date went well, playing it cool was a mistake, because she took it as you weren't that interested hence the "lack of connection". Because she probably believes at love in first sight and all of that crazyiness but in order for it to be love at first sight it has to be mutual. My sister believes in all that bs and she tells me that if a guy doesn't text her within a day of having a good date, she will move on and not give him a second chance.

I think that guys these days are generally waiting too long to respond to texts. The next day after she texts you is generally too long. It sounds like you played it a little too cool OP.

What she did was she convinced herself that there was no spark in order to spare her own hurt feelings. She actually believes it at this point, even though it is false.

Usually the less secure a girl is, the less well she responds to "game".

Sound like to me, you over gamed her...

She probably liked you, but when you did not text back till the next day.. she probably felt like you are taking the pizz or possibly playing games..

So she may have decided to bail out, before her feelings got involved..

I think leaving the reply text till the next day is a little bit too long too

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Maybe things didn't get sexual or maybe not sex, but intimate for her fast enough and she felt more like you two were friends?

I guess the only explanation is either that you waited too long to respond(woah, what an impatient girl),

unexplained circumstances in her life got in your way(her ex chose a really bad time to take her back, from your perspective),

or she heard something about you(maybe you pumped and dumped her friend and her friend told her when she mentioned you or she saw an episode of america's most wanted with you on it... or someone who looks suspiciously like you)

I dont understand why you waited a whole day to reply...wtf?

Anyway, she changed her mind overnight? well, in this case she is nuts, because no normal woman does this, so hey, you saved yourself.

Crazy stupid women.

Cheers for the response guys,

Yeah, i was at a golf tournament all day and never got round to it.

I agree, i am guilty of playing it a little too cool. Probably due to not wanting to be taken for granted (which probably lies some inner game issues)Maybe it backfired....but hey, if she cant wait a day then f.ck it. I hadn't f'd her yet but perhaps that was the opportunity.

Live and learn i guess....NEXT!

What is there to explain? She is a woman!.. nuff said.

As I spin the wheel to see where the arrow stops.. it says she met a guy named Tyrone... something about that name just gives women tingles.

Why the he11 would you ever be sorry or feel like you messed up when you were doing what a man is supposed to be doing.. witch is man sh1t like golf.

You did not play it too cool.. she remembers all the flirting that you guys did and I'm sure you do too.

That's right NEXT!

Classic case of over gaming without allowing her to invest enough in you

I’ve been guilty of this in the past and turned some pretty hot chicks against me because i acted so “indifferently” the idea that a guy could have such little interest in her so quickly is too much for her ego to cope with, she would rather walk away than risk having it shattered completely

I now take the stance that for the first few weeks after meeting a new chick you need to keep your interest level on par with hers

Once she has “connected” with you then do as you wish, but until then most women would rather walk away than risk being humiliated as you have found out with this one

To me, it sounds like she's trying to provoke you and attempt to move you off-center. You didn't do anything wrong - you behaved like a normal human being with a busy life. In fact, you may have saved yourself some grief because she sounds passive aggressive and a little controlling/manipulative and you don't want any of that.

Just agree with her. "Ok" is all you send. It's a responsive response. That will start her hamster spinning.

Or you can text "..." which can be thermonuclear to her hamster. It's a non-responsive response, sort of acknowledging that you saw her text and are replying to it, but not acknowledging what she's saying as accurate and instead acknowledging the likelihood of her emotions fluctuating like crazy and that she'll soon be back.

Your princess is in another castle.

Your date only went well if you get sex or at least a second date. Alas, she NEXTed you and is with a football player named Darnell.
