When women ask you "do you have a girlfriend"?

If you are a single guy, how would you respond to it?
And does that normally mean, they are somewhat attracted to you if they ask that?
Some married chick at work asked me this earlier.
In this world where game playin and mixed signals is every woman's favorite pastime you shouldnt take too seriously what some broad comes upwith in their head to ask you. It could be a wide variety of reasons why she asked- It could be that she has some personal interest but most likely its purely innocent. She probably figures that your'e a good guy and was wondering why you dont have a woman.

And if she asks you "How will you know when someone special comes along" then you reply saying something along the lines of "Well I have met and spent time with my fair share of women in my life, so I pretty much know what to look for, and what to look OUT for in a woman.

If you are single, then all you have to say is that you are single, and if/when they ask you WHY, then you simply tell them that its because you choose to be. The continue to say that you are just taking your love life as it comes and when you meet someone special then you will know it, but till that time you are enjoying life for what it is.. Keep in mind that women in general, are incredibly interested in the love lives of other people (think why soap operas are so popular among women). It does not mean she is into you at all. I have a purely platonic female friend who constantly inquires about how things are going with other girls. I can tell you there is zero, possibly a negative percent chance that we'll ever get together.
Don't read into things so much and don't focus on the details. Take your interactions as whole. Look for the bigger picture.

I've read somewhere that what people say only makes up about 7% of any conversation, body language and tone make up the rest.
So the question here is "how did she ask you?"... body language, eye contact, touching, smiling, etc.
