Alot of people have posted thet they "feel" this or that. I don't think this is a good way to judge a work, but each to his own.

Some people judge workouts by the numbers. If I did more weight or sets then the prior workout then I consider it good.

yeah, but sometimes my goal for a set may be...lets say 8 right?

And i only get up to 5 or 6... i feel like **** after that - haha

Is this a good thing? i heard that if u lift between 4 - 8 then its a good work out...

4-8 is good for bulking.

higher reps is good for toning. if you can't do anymore, you can't do anymore. pat yourself on the back and go home.

No such thing as toning - period.

If you follow Diesels bulking guide, you'll find it's a great framework for satisfying workouts.

I'm usually in the gym for an hour, and I cycle routines each 2-3 weeks. Keeps it fresh, and doesn't allow your body to get too comfortable with the workout. I usually work around the 6 rep range, and up the weights once I can do 8.

I always leave the gym feeling pumped, and wake up the next day f*ckin sore!

Its also a mental thing. Use the mind/muscle connection. Sounds like some new age crap, but it works! Concentrate intensly on each rep, and picture the target muscles doing the work. Take each rep slowly.

I guarantee that if you block everything else out during a working session and truly bust your ass, you will walk out feeling satisfied.
