When females compliment you...

what do you do? lol :crackup: but seriously...is there any game to this or is it a simple thank you... like for example if they compliment you on your looks, what do you say in response

It depends on the chick.


I think there is time and place for game, but sometimes good old fashion manners is the way to go. It depends on how long I've know her, if the compliment is sincere, etc. But you can still add a joke, and/or compliment in her back.

Physical compliments (you can use this one for just about any physical compliment):

HB: You have the most beautiful blue eyes. (I get this one a lot)
Me: Aww, how sweet, thank you. We'd have some good looking children, huh?
(and maybe I'll add) Wanna get started? (and maybe, if you're in a restaurant or bar, pretending to motion to waiter) Check please!

Personality compliments:

HB: You're such a sweetheart.
Me: (smile) Thanks, just don't tell anyone, you'll ruin my reputation.

HB: You're so funny!
Me: Oh gee thanks, clowns are funny too. Are you calling me a clown? Fine, then you're the bearded lady.


Remember-this is kind of an important phase. If she's complimenting you, you're on your away, you're already winning her over. Don't screw it up by being too ****y.

You accept the compliment. Just say "thank you".

If you as why, ask them to say it again, or ask what she said in shock, you're only lowering your value.

You accept compliments. You don't question them.

What I'm really saying is: "I'm rewarding you for your good behaviour"!.

Just a few examples

That's a cool answer, I like it. But what I wanted to touch on is that, sometimes, these aren't compliments.

I was with some folks a few weeks ago and I noticed this one girl in the group had a habit of stating her itinerary just about every time she was planning something with someone. Along the lines of, "Hey, we should go to that concert! Let's see, Saturday, I'm going shopping, and then visiting my aunt, so after that we could hook up..."

So after a couple of those, I pointed out that's what she does, in a funny way. Everyone laughed. She said, "You're so funny!", which at the moment I thought was not a bad thing.

But it struck me odd at the time. It was just the way she said it. Anyway, that's what kept it on my mind and I thought about it, and I think it was her way of saying, "You're such an a$$hole." Of course, it just reflects on her inability to laugh at herself.

Come to think of it, I've heard variations of that one before. "You're TOO funny!" is another one. I don't think that's a compliment. I think it's also woman-speak.

If they're laughing and have big grins and leaning forward and touching your arm when they say that, then it's probably a compliment. You have to watch the body language to decipher it.
