When a girl says hi to you and you simply say "Hi" back, it doesn't sound natural.

Okay, so it's after the football game and I'm browsing around all over the place, couple chicks say hi to me and say I say "Hi" back, but it doesn't sound natural. Should I say something else? Should I change the tone I say it in? Because when I simply say hi, it doens't simply seem to sound natural.

Don't make saying "Hi" complicated. Just a plain and simple Hi should work. It's after you say "Hi" is when things become crucial. It's like an interview, the first 30 secs are the most crucial.

Well, it's not like a girl just comes up to me and says hi, but she'll say hi like if I'm walking in the hallway and she sees me passing by. The hi almost seems to quick, forced or like I'm out of breath of something, just doesn't seem right. Oh yes and these are girls that I know, as in we've met, but I don't really, KNOW.

You say: "Her Name"

You say: "Hows it going"

get the picture don't say "Hi" back that does sound bad so just use one of those above and you'll be set.

You make this game far too complicated. This is not Freshman Math or English Viper, this is a natural occurrence betwee the respective sexes of the homo sapien.

i use hand gestures like a little wave back with out saying anything, like if im talkin with friends or sumthin or just cant talk

Viper, I think your analyzing this too much...no one really cares that your hi is "slightly out of breath", for all they know you might be in a rush to your next class or something.

I also agree with The Master Disaster...If you are feeling uncomfortable saying HI back, use a differnt greeting.

You have confidence issues...I was reading in Styles book, that one guru had his students wear a hockey mask, a dress, and a dildo for 2 weeks.........according to him now they have no social fear whatsoever.

I thought you were so depressed and what not that you couldn't do anything. At least these girls DID say hi to you and they DID acknowledge your prescence. This is much better other people who DON'T get noticed at all.

I'll try to relax about things, but its hard when your a really insecure guy like me. I'm so insecure that if a girl simply says hi to me I start thinking, "Does she like me? Is she attracted to me, nah, she was just being nice, yeah that's it.". This girl named Jill, who's also in band, who was holding a party at her house after the game and anyone who wanted to go could go, but I didn't go, you know why? I knew I wouldn't have fun, I would just be sitting at the corner of the room eating, while every one else talked, partied and had a good time.
